Hi,

TP X60s 1706-WAK Success story, all works.
Added minipci slot.
Added SMD components to PSB.
Added SIM slot.
AND pin20 solution takes final point in my research.
Sorry for my bad english.

Im happy, thanks friends.

Welcome to the forum, Juozas.

I'm intrigued by your mod, but I have to admit that I'm not quite sure exactly what it is that you have done, or why. I'm not familiar with the Gobi2000, but it looks like it is some kind of wireless chip? I'm sure that other forum members would be interested in any additional details you could give us about what you've done.

Phill.

What he has done is modify an X60 motherboard, which originally had only one miniPCIe slot and no SIM card holder, i.e., no option for internal WWAN card, to permit the addition of a Gobi 2000 WWAN card for GSM use. (If the Gobi 2000 were for CDMA use only, he would not have needed to add the SIM card slot.)

Congratulations Juozaz!

I use WWAN Gobi2000 FRU: 60Y3183 for Lithuania GSM provider Bite (Vodafone partner) network HSDPA 7.2Mbps. :) and SIM card is regured.
How to modify TP PCB if found in early posts on this forum:

I order TP LCD backcover with integrated WWAN antenna, too. :)
