I had a 6 cell (t43 1872 j13) that was the original and now is only good for 1h30m!

i tried the rejuvenate from "powermanager" and now it's down to 40+ min! what happened?

and does that rejuvenate really work?

thanks eto

is there any program that will bring some life back to these batteries?

or is it just buy a new one?

The Battery Maximizer rejuvenater helps a little sometimes, but usually doesn't. Laptop batteries, like automobile batteries, deteriorate with time and use until they just naturally get to the point where they won't work at all.

Looks like it's time to replace your battery. But, don't dispair, it's had a relatively long run already.

Check this forums "Market Place" for new batteries before buying elsewhere.

I have a 9-cell battery with only about 150 cycles but it's 5 years old, and it's basically toast. I have tried absolutely everything, freezing it, deep cycle charge / discharge, renew it with the latest power manager, renew it with the earliest power manage, charge it with tape over the microprocessor contacts - NOTHING. Still, the battery has a horrific reserve (like 1 hour) once it says empty ... crud ...

9-cell batteries on ebay are $30. They are 6600mAh no matter what the advert says. Still, for $30, all this hassle fighting with the idiotic smart chip is not worth the hassle. People who make software to reprogram the smart chip want $120. They are too greedy, just buy another battery on ebay.
