Has anyone been successful at installing OSX on a T400 if show what version did you use?

I tired both the iATKOS L1 and L2 DVDs and both load but don't get past the apple screen with the spinning thingy.

Thanks
A.

You may have better luck with installation of 10.6 using multibeast with retail 10.6.

checkout http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index ... /Portables and see notes regarding T400.

Yeah I have 10.6.8 running on it already but I would really love to see Lion running on it. I wish there were other installs other than iATKOS available I could try.

:(

It is a boot installer package for osx developed by tonymac. much easier than using usb boot drive.

I have managed to install it on mine and have provided a guide on this site. You mention you could not get past the screen with the spinning thingy. Did you have your BIOS set to ACHI ?

As of this moment I now have Mountain Lion installed on my Thinkpad T400, everything working apart from Photo booth and FaceTime. This time I used myHack. It went really smooth. You can also use myHack for Lion. It is very straight forward if you read the guide provided on the site where myHack is located.

All the best!

Try booting in verbose mode and see what is causing the problem. use -v option.

Here is the PDF iATKOS OSX Lion guide for the Thinkpad T400.
