Last one that sold on ebay sold for an outrageous price, so good luck.

Your best option is to build one of these franknpads, if you can find the screen. The perfect QXGA system would be a T61 board in a T60 case with a reflashed Qxga screen.

ps. Since these models never were equipped with this screen, it would need to be custom built.

forgive my ignorance, but why do you need a T60 base to do this?

Because QXGA requires a 15" 4:3 laptop, and the T60 was the last 15" model in 4:3 format.
That T60 chassis will take a mobo from a 14.1" 4:3 T61 with a few small modifications.
You really should read a few posts in the forum about T61 Frankenpads!

I say careful what you wish for, you may get it. Text will be awfully small on a 15" QXGA LCD. Also keep in mind, the QXGA is significantly dimmer than the UXGA Hydis. I believe and I could be wrong as I've never done it, but to get the QXGA LCD to work in a R60 or T60, you need to flash the EDID. You'll need a T4x or R5x to do the flashing. Perhaps someone smart than I will come along.

usual lashing by RBS :) But answer was received though!

I see that it isn't that one needs a T61 (4:3) motherboard to achieve a QXGA machine, it's just the T61 MB is more desirable over a T60 MB.

To answer your comment though, I have read through these parts about Frankenpads and it all confused me. I guess I just tend to use my machines as they are and don't stray much on the "modding" if you will
