Hi All,

I would like to use an L shaped power adapter on my T43p(where the power pin enters the laptop) and was wondering if I could get your opinion if this particular adapter would work?

Thanks in advance for your suggestion.

The one you posted looks like it's for the T60 and up (grey power connector, 20V). The T43 is smaller and 16V.

Thanks EasyMac.

So anyone knows if there exists one for a T43/p?

Thanks

That plug looks like you would need to cut the existing plug off the end of the cable and solder (or use screw terminals) to attach it.

An easier solution would be this: http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/D ... 75-/23-775

The existing DC plug is simply inserted into an inline female jack and the right-angle plug inserted into the laptop. Note that the retention strength of the female inline connector may not be enough to prevent accidental disconnection if the cable is pulled. You could tape over the connection if that's an issue.

Thanks Ray...this one's a nice choice too. Will most probably go in for this as no cutting required.

However Thanks again RBS.

Some caution should be in order.
Much as I like Ray's cable, it's rather underwhelming in specs:
- Conductor size: 26AWG [way too thin!]
- Power rating: 1 AMP [way too low!]
The output of the 16V/56W = 3.5 AMP, and that of the more common 16V/72W = 4.5 AMP
IMHO some serious overheating (and fire) danger!

Excellent points... I did not read the description fully  .

Here's a pricier adapter: http://www.amazon.com/Right-Angle-Conne ... B004L74PGI

No thin wires :) .

Price aside, this one's a touchdown.

Will go in for this.

Thanks all for the help once again.
