Bluetooth speaker and windows 7

#1 Post by Whitieiii » Fri Feb 10, 2017 6:30 pm

Can't get my Bluetooth speakers working with windows 7.... it needs Bluetooth peripheral device driver and windows can't find driver.... manufacturer doesn't have one clue on what I'm talking about so they can't help me.... "just reset the device" they say... how and why would anyone in their right mind reset a Bluetooth speaker?

on a side note the speaker will output sound via Bluetooth on mac os and windows 10 but just doesn't work with windows 7 where I need it the most.... I would just use a really long aux cable to connect it to the computer but the speaker doesn't have an aux in jack on it

I have the same problem. T410s with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit here. Bluetooth speaker will pair with my ThinkPad but once I try and connect it will have a window pop up that says "Error Establishing Connection". I've followed the instructions I found online concerning getting rid of the "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" errors in the device manager, but I still can't properly connect my speaker on bluetooth. It's the same story concerning both my friend's speakers of different brands as well when I try to connect them through bluetooth.

Frustrating. Any help or guidance would be well appreciated.

I think the bluetooth drivers are buggy. They seem to be on my X220 anyway. Sometimes I need to reboot or turn bluetooth off and then back on on my ThinkPad to establish a connection with my bluetooth headset. Even then it sometimes takes 2 or 3 attempts...

Windows and Lenovo Blue drivers and software INHALEs.

This is what I finally found and use on all my builds

There is no fix.

Windows 7 does not support Blue Tooth audio.

I have tried everything including upgrading my system to 4.0. Tried every driver, work-around, and fix that was offered to me here, as well as several bogus fixes I found on my own. Even the whitelist BIOS has no effect on BT audio working in Win 7.

Upgrade to Windows 10 and that problem will be solved. But you know what goes along with Windows 10.

I would be interested in hearing how you fixed this if you manage to.

I have at least 7 W7 machines running the above software, no issues that Im aware of. With that said, each new devise does seem to load its own "drivers" when first connected.

And you are able to use Bluetooth stereo audio speakers using Windows 7?

Forgive me if I'm a bit skeptical of your claim.
