How old is it? If possible, show us some pictures/links on the condition of the laptop. =)

laptop is six months old, if that.

It has the remainder of a 3 year warranty. It is flawless, hardly ever used. Has been a linux box since the first week I had it.

I can e-mail pics if necessary.

If it's still available please let me know. I need a TP for my GF's daughter who's beginning college this fall.

Thanks,
Frank

I believe someone already sent him money for this about 2 weeks ago or so.

Bilmind, can you verify this is still for sale or it has been sold already?

I don't think bilmind is hanging out here anymore.
It looks like our transaction has gone sour.
I'll fill you all in when it's over.

Whoever sent this guy money, I hope you sent it through paypal and contact them to let them know of the fraud that is happening or about to happen.

So he sold it to more than one person???
I paid for it with Paypal and all I have so far is excuses.
Paypal quickly found in my favor but claimed there was no funds to recover. In other words, "You win but you don't get any money back". I am through using Paypal.
I have filed fraud charges with my bank and they said they will recover my money. We'll see.

I have done a few (~200+) transactions on the internet and ran into a couple of scammers along the way but I have never done business with anyone like bilmind before. :?

I am totally against fraud and have been ripped off one or two times in the past (good learning experience) but I bought a ThinkDock from bilmind and the transaction occurred very smoothly. I'm very sorry to see this situation happening and really hope that there is some misunderstanding.

I'm glad others are learning about the great PayPal lie! Here's a compnay that makes it so very difficult to pay via credit card (hoop after hoop) by promising you still have just as much "protection" going soley through them alone. NOOOOOOOOO! The moment fraud occurs they hide behind the "there are no funds to recover" statement. Good luck after that. The first problem is that they take FOREVER to resolve a complaint as they refuse to do any work. I was sold a stolen laptop once and I gave them phone numbers and names and police and case numbers and everything, but they refused to make even ONE phone call to get the problem settled. They kept asking for more paperwork, and more, and more, dragging out the process 10-14 days at a clip, hoping I would get frustrated, slip up, or that it would drag out SO long that nothing could be done. After a 2 month "investigation" I went to my back-up (which was my credit card company who I reported to right away but who asked me to give PayPal a chance 1st) and begged them to intervene. They did and PayPal fled immediately. They were so happy they no longer had to be involved. They suck wore than any company in business, well, almost as much as their parent ebay!!!

If you used your credit card on Paypal, there is a good chance your credit card company will do some basic investigation and credit you the money. They will contact the seller, and if they can't provide proof that they shipped you the item then you basically win. Any time I buy a high dollar item and pay with Paypal, I use my credit card. I got a credit for $700 when I got scammed a few months back.

Well he keeps saying that he is going to send it or refund me but he never does anything except talk. It has been almost 3 weeks now. I would think that if he is a scammer he would have taken the money and ran but he emails me about every two days with another excuse. He must have either the worst luck in the world or he is the most twisted scammer I have met.

I backed out of a deal with this guy about 8-9 months ago on this very exact model. At that time the DXU was a very hot model and he was selling it about $400 cheaper than you could get it anywhere. Said it was only about a month old and gave me a sob story about losing his job, needing money blah blah blah. Could not give me one verifiable reference, so I bolted. He is scamming you. There is absolutely NO reason or acceptable excuse (unless he is dead) in three weeks that he couldn't have refunded your money or dropped it at a UPS store and had it shipped to you. If you used PayPal, start the process immediately to get your money refunded. If you used a credit card, start the process there too.

This really sucks. I've been trading online now since 2000 and have never been scammed. Almost was twice but I caught on.

I wonder how many people here actually sent this guy money.
So far, I see two?

At this point it looks that way. Today is exactly three weeks from payment and I see no T42 or any refund from bilmind.

Well, I sent him $1000.00 USD through paypal so they have the contact info, not me. All I know is it went to Heather Anthony (supposedly his wife) at bilmind1@yahoo.com . He said he was located in Kentucky but when he sent me a bogus tracking number it went to Florida, so does he live in Kentucky or Florida or neither?
So since it was a Paypal transaction I don't have phone #'s or an address.
I bet that when my bank completes the funds reversal on paypal someone will have the info to go knock on doors.
