I work for a few places that use this.... basically a few of the staff members hook their own laptops up to the network and use that to verify the LTSB copy.... so no candy crush, no minecraft etc. Its great however I just use Win7 lol... I believe its the same KMS key server stuff the same as Win7 ...

Re: ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment

There's always going to be alleged professionals who hurt themselves or their fellow employees or their family with their guns.

Who remembers the DEA agent who was in a classroom and stated he was the only one 'professional' enough to handle a Glock 22.

Then promptly shot himself in the leg.

He'll need it up quick... the caravan is coming... any day now... I suspect it'll be a pressing issue once more when the subpoenas start coming.

Re: ONE reason for the 2nd Amendment

I think many people look at the question of gun control thru their own lense. I'm a reasonably competant person with no criminal record, no mental issues and generally stable life. So I feel like I should be ok to own a gun. But the flip side is that there's a lot of people a lot less responsible th...

I'm slightly ok with countries having compulsory military service, say for a short time, 6 months to a year. Saying that as someone who never has to do that. I also put it to you that in times of a national emergency most countries will devolve into a police state and that they wont hesistate to con...

You cant blame news for covering when 11 people get shot in a church vs. what *may* have been prevented when someone kills an assailant. But even given that its impossible to do gun restrictions in the US given theres no registration. You can take away guns from the British and Australians since the...

I feel like the best thing about Microsoft is that they are incompetant in many arenas. Would you use Bing? How safe is Edge? Out of the units I have, I have only see brittle plastics on my x300 and my t400s, especially bezels or wherever is thin.

Everything else is solid. Maybe they used a different composition on the lightweight units.

Yeah there's two different mindsets... eg. I love the T40-43 series however a single core laptop with say 2gb and whatever ancient Intel GFX is not a usable machine to me in any o/s given today's workload. HOwever if you want to put a machine on a pedestal and run a 'period' o/s as a collector then ...

The A31 is slightly before my time... I feel that being a P4M machine it'll be overlooked by many and further, with the reputation at the time, many would have ended up in landfill in China. The October 2018 Update tried to tidy up this situation. When KFR is being used, the October 2018 Update will delete the original, default Known Folder locations. Microsoft imagined that this would simply remove some empty, redundant directories from your user profile. No need to have a Documents di...

The Asus Taichi would be an interesting unit if you like evolutionary dead ends.

It was also a support nightmare given that they didnt take to the win8.0 -> 8.1 upgrade.

I wonder how they operate under Win10.

Another way to go is that of a fairly recent Lenovo tablet. I have an x201 tablet and its quite nice. I feel like the x220 is let down by the 768p screen. So that leaves the x200 tablet which is a fine enough machine given it has a usuable SL9400/9600 cpu and an 800p screen. Would be nice but they a...

Probably a Intel gfx T420s w/ whitelist and at least 8Gb ram and an ssd. Maybe an ultrabay hdd adapter plus your choice of msata ssd if you so wish. Or maybe a T430 w/ the classic kbd upgrade. This looks like an interesting machine and looks cheap enough ex-lease.

However the Optimus is super poor being a GT730 and good luck sifting thru all the 768p rubbish.

With a quad and perhaps an fhd or even a 900p screen it could be a goer.
