I bought the IBM original versions too. In my short sightedness i sold the PATA one! Now i have the SATA one and ofcourse a SATA hard disk :( i am tempted to 'file' the darn thing off. But the HD itself in the X41 seems to be PATA but where as T43 has a SATA HD, do you think that is the difference? ...

FS: R52 ;Port Replicator II; UltraBay Slim HDD Adapter

I have recently had a bad spill on my thinkpad R52 and some thing on the motherboard got messed up and my battery would not charge. The system boots up on just the power cord and works ok. And the battery itself is fine. http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=28577 So the system specs: 1847-2FU ...

I'm trying to say this without sounding too elitist, but I think most people settle for the quality of a Dell or any other brand. It would be like Ferrari is designing their cars to fit more kids/family in them, because they want to compete with Volkswagen Minivans. Bad news indeed. You are not hel...

Well my idea is to just clean the computer up (i just removed the motherboard, disks, every thing to the frame) and send it to lenovo and hope that they would not find sugar in there. I am ok with stripping the computer but soldering on the mobo is a little above and beyond me. I just cleaned all pa...
