Re: X200 pen problem?

I would recommend downloading an Ubuntu live image to a USB flash drive and see if your pen works. Ubuntu natively supports Wacom and if it works there, then you know it is a Windows-related issue and not a hardware problem.

Re: X200 Tablet Fn Key swap!

I checked mine and it doesn't appear to have that option.
BIOS version 1.06 2012-02

You can look on Lenovo's support page for the x200 tablet and examine the change logs for BIOS updates to see if they have added the function.

Re: Best OS for an X200 Tablet

Windows 7 seemed to work great on my x200t. The handwriting recognition was superb. I have since switched to Ubuntu though. I use it primarily for the better appearance for people with low vision and contrast themes. For example, I was extremely disappointed that when I rotated the display in Window...

Possible to auto power off 2nd HDD bay in T510?

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to have the ultrabay HDD power off like the ultrabay DVD drive is able to do. i notice in My Computer that it says the DVD drive is powered off while the HDD is inside the bay. The only way i seem to be able to turn it off is if I safely remove it. However, t...

Re: Questions about my new R50e -> T510 upgrade

Thank you so much. :D I found the option to create "factory recovery disks" after going through the start menu and clicking "thinkvantage tools" (i was using the "thinkvantage toolbox" before. I got them made successfully. :) I also found the sticker under the battery. I just slipped the battery in ...

If you have Rescue and Recovery installed, simply hit the "Access IBM" key and it will load up the recovery/pre-boot environment. If you want to access the BIOS at boot, simply press F1. Otherwise, you have to access it through Rescue and Recovery, which takes some time to load. If you do not have R...

I agree with the above statement. :) I have had mine for two or three years and I am still loving it. I don't want to replace it with another faster laptop or anything. The battery life is great. I put a 7200RPM HDD in it. I added more RAM. I mean, it just works. It is so plain that it is beautiful....

well, now people said on notebookforums.com that it's 9.5mm and won't accept anything but IBM branded drives because of the special ultrabay connector.

is it definately 12.5mm?

replacement optical drive for R50e?

is it possible to replace my CD-RW/DVD-ROM optical drive with a slim DVD burner? on Lenovo's site for replacement optical drives, it says that none apply to the R50e because it's a fixed UltraBay. i know you can remove the drive as there are instructions for just the R50e and also movies on how to i...

mine runs 38-45 w/o fan on, @ .700V @ 600MHz
and 48-55 alternate fan on/off @ 1.020V @ 1600MHz

my hard drive is always in the 30's but it isn't the stock IBM one.
