Absolutely NEVER "deep charge" a lithium battery. That will do far more harm than good. Also, only let the battery run down to a low level if you are going to store it. Otherwise, you will only reduce overall longevity. Lithium batteries like to be kept at a high level of charge when in use.

are you running at the native res? if so, try lowering it a bit... if not, try raising it to native.

UPDATE: i just recieved email confirmation that my thinkpad has shipped (yay) so i should be recieving it soon (i paid for two day shipping, so i should have it by friday at the latest). Needless to day, i am very exited.

It is alledged to be "on track to ship at the end of the week", so if it does ship as expected i'd expect to recieve it sometime between saturday and tuesday (depending on how metaphysically good or bad shipping wants to be)
