Re: Urgent question to all W700 owners
I just tried it, I have a W700 and a T61P. The connector on the W700 is slightly different size than than the one on the T61P, the AC adapter for the W700 wont fit on the T61P. I know the T60P and the T61P share the same AC adapter so I dont think it will work.

I have a T61p which I have used to use to play Age of Conan for hours at a time. After a while it was generating so much heat that it was making my fingers sore, because I think I was cooking them at a low grade temperature. Even with that the laptop ran fine for a couple hours at a time. I would fe...

Another preview of the W700 can now be found. They say they will have a full review after they run more tests. Kind of weird that you cant find anything online about the w700 for a couple weeks and then 2 reviews show up on the same day.

Xp cant use more than that unless you somehow get the 64 bit extensions for Xp, which isnt easy to do. Most people that need go above 3gb, get a 64 bit OS, which is usually Vista 64 or linux. It probably cheaper to buy the memory yourself and install it, but if you want XP and 4gb of memory you prob...

That is rediculous. I would just return the laptop and buy something else. I have a T61P which I have used extensively in gaming and it gets so hot that it actually got uncomfortable after an hour or two playing AoC. However the laptop worked fine the whole time. It honestly seems like the W500 is a...

I have a T61P and from everything I have seen so far, it doesnt seem to me that the new W500 will be a step forward in terms of graphic performace, it seems to be a step backwards actually. Last year the T61P had about the best graphics card you could find in a 15 inch notebook. This year their new ...

I doubt you will see that big of jump in performace due to the increase in ram speed. I would guess maybe 10 percent increase at most. The bus speed increase will help the transfer speed of data from memory to cpu, but most of the time will still be spent in the cpu doing operations on data which is...

I dont have a T60P but I am planning on getting one soon and have been looking into this for a while. From what I understan the V5200 is roughly equivalent to the x1600, some of have said it is the same chip. The core and memory seemed to be clocked lower than the X1600s in other laptops. Given this...

Ok it is good to know that the online resellers have them. However can someone tell me who the 3 online resellers are ? I know of Euclid Computers, who are the other two ? I also went to Euclid computers and I found two core2 duo T60P's listed. One is the 20078JU which I can find in the tabook link ...

Looking at the specs of the new machines is disapointing to me. The processer got upgraded but the best screen available is a 15 inch 1400 * 1050 and the best graphics card is x1400. To me that machine is a step back from the previous version, they upgraded one component (cpu) and downgraded two oth...

Each person obviously has their own requirements for a laptop, for me the lack of a 15 inch 1600*1200 screen is a big negative when looking at the thinkpads. If the new models will only have the 14 inch screen then I guess I need to look at the Z series but the 15 inch screen was a big reason why I ...

Ok well I am even more confused now so I will just add in another question. If 15" T60P's are soon to be extinct to be replaced by 15.4" models, what is the difference between the Z61P and the new T60P with a 15.4" inch screen ? There is a high end Z61P model which looks like a T60P with a 15.4 inch...

I have been waiting for a while to buy a 15 inch Thinkpad because I want a 1600*1200 laptop to replace my current 15 inch Sagar which is slowly falling apart I wanted to wait for the Core2 Duo chip and maybe a slightly better graphics card then the 5200 but if there isnt going to be a 15" T61P then ...
