Matrox QID LP PciX DOES fit and work in the Advance Dock
About a month ago, I posted on this board for information on if the Matrox QID LP PciX would fit and work in the Advanced Dock. The replies to that post indicated this card would not work, due to it's length. However, I thought the poster was in error, as the length as specified by Matrox for the QI...

The built-in DVI will work in addition to the add-on card. However, the QID PCI-e Low Profile will not fit in the Advanced Dock. It's the length that kills you, not the height. I have about four flavors of Matrox cards here (including the QID) and the only one that fits in the Dock is the APVe. Tha...

Advanced Dock with multiple monitors
I have a T60 on an Advanced Dock. Currently, I am running one monitor off the DVI port on the dock. However I plan on installing a Matrox QID PCIE Low Profile in the PCIE slot on the dock, and running four monitors from it. My question is, will the DVI port on the dock still run a monitor while the ...

If you are sensitive to noise, I'd propose not to buy the T60, as the fan basically never stops without using 3rd party software and eventually overheating your laptop and/or voiding your warranty. I had a T60p and returned it for the constant fan activity. I actually have ordered a MacbookPro 17" ...

Glad to hear it. I would think the subwoofer would work if it is powered. Does your subwoofer have it's own volume control (many do)? You shouldn't need an external sound card just for the subwoofer. Yes, it does have it's own volume control. It is a Logitech Z-4i. I played an MP3 when I got it to ...

I suppose you have tried plugging in your external speakers to another portable device, such as an IPOD, Walkman, or the like. Do they work fine? If the onboard speakers are working fine as you say, and the external speakers and cable are working fine, then I believe your problem is with the headph...

Headphone Jack disabled?
I have a T60 (2623-D6U) with an Advanced Dock. Here is my problem: 1. On board audio (the T60 speakers) works fine. However, when you plug external speakers into the headphone jack, it shuts down the onboard speakers, but nothing comes out of the external speakers. 2. Same thing happens when it is d...
