Re: Upgrading X220/X230 to FHD 1080p
I've finally installed my mod that I received quite a long time ago. It was slightly tricky but it seems to be working well. I'm having one small issue though and that is when I am using a dock (ultrabase 3 I think?), I'm seeing some random small glitching of the display. It's very minor and quite ...

Re: UltraNav driver for new Windows 10 build
The Synaptic drivers supplied through Windows Update for Windows 10 have been good since it was released a few days ago. Now middle button trackpoint scrolling works, even in Metro apps. However, today was another update (19.0.17.2) and nearly everything is fine, but two finger back/forwards trackp...

Thank you, johnmcdonnell for the hard work in documenting your install. I've followed your steps but for some reason, I cannot get the sound working at all? MC8775 with X61 (HP hs2300)
Hi, I managed to source one of these cheaply enough. From reading other posts on here, I've managed to install the card into my X61 (I'm on the modded Middleton BIOS anyway), installed the drivers onto Windows 7 x64, all is showing up fine. The only problem is that the WAN LED is on permanently. It ...

Re: X61 Google Chrome Middle Button Scrolling
Ok, so this is now solved!
The problem was an extension in Google Chrome: Gestures for Chrome Plus by zimohan.com
Strangely enough, the other extension, Gestures for Chrome by ss-o.net works ok without affecting scrolling.
I hope this helps someone who has the same problem.

X61 Google Chrome Middle Button Scrolling [Solved]
Hi all, I just got round to finally getting my hands on a nice X61 and after doing a fresh install of Windows 7 with all required drivers, etc. I noticed something a little peculiar when using the middle button scrolling feature in Google Chrome. While the middle button scrolling feature actually wo...

That's good to know. Does that mean that the T60 will take the asymmetrical lid too?dr_st wrote:You can also swap the entire lid - may be easier. You'll lose the rollcage, but the machine will be a little lighter and symmetric.
It's just that I want to keep the T60 usable as well.

LCD Swap from T60 to T61
I've just gotten hold of a T61 4:3 model
Unfortunately, it only has a 1024x768 panel.. However, I do have a spare T60 4:3 around that has a SXGA+ panel. Would it just be the case of a direct swap without having to worry about changing cables or anything like that?
Thanks

Re: [HOWTO] Install Lion Mac OS X 10.7 on Thinkpad T60p
I'm having a bit of an issue with putting Lion on my T61. It's a very basic model, with X3100 graphics and a T7100 CPU. It's a 14.1" widescreen model, resolution of 1280x800. That just about covers the basics. The problem I'm facing is that upon a clean install (I've tried many - Multibeast, Conti's...

Compatible LCD panels list?
I was wondering if anyone here has a definitive list of compatible display panels from *other* machines for the X60/X61/X60T/X61T? The reason being that screen replacements are getting increasingly harder to source as time goes by and it might be helpful to know which other machines share the same s...

Hi, Just on the off chance that someone has one of these spare, I'd be interested in taking it off your hands. If you don't know, I'm after the modified harness cable to connect up a SXGA LCD panel to a X61. All the details can be found in this thread: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?f=30&t...

X60T works with/without stylus?
Hi, I was told this by someone the other day but I have no idea if it's true or not: "All finger touch tablets were made with XGA resolution only. Some SXGA+ models do exist but are pen touch only." A couple things I need to clarify here: 1) Did the 'finger-touch' only tablets not include a pen/styl...

Thank you very much for posting the pictures up!
It turns out that I have a X60 base and I guess at some point it's had the screen replaced from a X60s.

Require help identifying X60(s)?
Hi, I happen to have purchased what was supposed to be a X60, model 1706-W3Q. Prior to purchasing, I looked up the model which does bring it up as a X60. However, when it arrived, I noticed that the screen bezel marked as X60s. On booting and checking the bios, it is indeed reported as a 1706-W3Q - ...

I encountered a very similar problem two days ago (T61 7662). I generally leave my laptop on at all times, except for when travelling a distance, where I'll put it into sleep mode. Anyway, I was just doing an install of something which required a restart, so I left it to it. When I came back, the sc...

Yes, use the driver I have linked above from Guru3D that is working for others. The inf within that download has been modified to be compatible with nVidia Mobile chipsets. I tried on a T61 (7662) - does anyone notice that videos look extremely pixelated as if nothing is antialiased at all? I rever...

The keyboard you have is the ALPS keyboard. The other keyboards that are available are NMB (39T0958) and Chicony (39T7178). Thank you for that information.
