My T41 works like a charm with the MX900. Automatically reconnecs after standby/reboots, too. You must have "hidd -server" running in the background ("service hidd start" in FC4). Do you have something like the following in /etc/bluetooth/hcid.conf: # Logitech mouse MX900 device 00:07:61:07:32:CD {...

Some troubles with bluetooth and MX900
Hi, I'm having some troubles with my T42 with bluetooth build-in and my logitech MX900. I managed to connect the mouse to the laptop using bluetooth but each time I restart, I need to run the command : sudo hidd --connect 00:07:61:07:32:CD xmodmap -e "pointer = 1 2 3 6 7 4 5" and I have to press the...

How to manage frequencies with powernowd under Ubuntu ?
I'm using Ubuntu. Everything works fine but I do have a problem with the speedstep management of powernowd. I used to use cpufreqd and I could manage easily frequencies if the power was on or not. How can I do that with powernowd (I'd like the computer to run at 1.8 Ghz all the time except when I'm ...

How to optimized battery life ?
Is there any way to optimize the battery when the latop is not plugged on AC ? I mean like under Windows ( ), to stop the hard drive when the latop is not using it and to automatically minimize brightness down when we unplug the power. I already managed to get the speedstep centrino working :...

Try using ndiswrapper. It works fine for me. See http://www.stanford.edu/~sanjiv/thinkpad/thinkpad.html.
And don't trust the led on linux, it's working only if you compile ipw2200 with a special option and I didn't manage to power on the led with ndiswrapper even if my wlan is up.

Does a NEC ND-6500A fit in a T42 ?
Hi everyone, I'm a proud owner of a T42 (2373-CXG) but without a DVD Burner. I didn't want to take it because of the price, the speed and it burns only DVD-R (or+R, cant' remember... :? ). I was wondering if a Brand new DVD burner as the NEC ND-6500A which burns 8x DVD+/-R(W) and DL as well can fit ...

IBM gives privileges to french students to save some money on their laptops, but however we do have to wait till the mid-august. Could someone please ...
