Just a thought. After you run you laptop on battery power, do you plug it in when it is on, or it is in Sleep/hibernate/off mode? I almost never completely turn off my t60p, instead I use sleep mode. Just to warn people with custom arrangment of desktop icons. Problem with Fn+Space solution is that screwes icons layout out on the screen. If auto arange enabled there is no problem. But I for example like recycle bin in the right bottom corner of desktop and hitting Fn+Space to zoom and then back ...

AFAIK if you go with EPP program you loose the ability to return laptop withing 30 days for refund, so read agreement/return policy carefull first.

You can run CPU-Z utility. It shows all infromation about your CPU, Cache, and Memory.

As part of epp purchase program you are losing your right to 30 days no questions asked return policy. And based on experience - they will not do any exchanges - they will tell you to call repair services.

I ordered 2623-DDU with extra 1Gb memory, AC/DC adapter and backpack on April 06. Around May 16 I wrote them pretty angry letter and on May 19 laptop was shipped and I got it around 4-5 days later. Not sure if letter helped or it was just a coincedence.
