Just thought I'd share my success. I'm running Feisty on a T43p.
After following these EASY instructions, trackpoint scrolling works perfectly.

T43p
OS-X 10.4.6 During the install it gets to the point(after you agree to all that stuff and select your language) where it asks which disk it should install on...but it doesn't show any disk for me to select. I'm assuming it just doesn't recognize it... is this because my harddrive is not in the right...

T43p ongoing audio problem
I've had my T43p for just over a year now. This has probably happened six times before, with the last time the only solution being to reinstall XP. Just in the middle of working (no new software, changes, etc) the audio will cut in and out and become extremely garbled, sometimes like a skipping reco...

i looked up what i had on the ibm website (what my computer was shipped with) and it said: CALEXICO2 802.11a/b/g MINI-PCI Card FRU i think that translates to IBM 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Mini PCI Adapter II on the thinkwiki site. and according to that is has an Atheros chipset. ...so, i need to add the ...

suse 10.1 on t43p wireless configuration
i searched and searched, but am still at a loss of what to do. There is no XP on the harddrive, just suse. Everything works out of the box except the wireless. I'm pretty sure all i need to do is "configure" the wireless controller...or something like that....but i have no idea what that entails. Wi...

"Keyboard Customizer" does the job, but it also means you've got another service running . . . I use KeyTweak to avoid that ( http://webpages.charter.net/krumsick/ ). It changes key mapping at the registry level, so there's no memory usage 'penalty'. For what it's worth, Paul oh right on...ill def....

WIN + L
I've had a T43p for sometime now, but i figured this would apply to all models. Is there a way to effectively "WIN+L" to switch users or "WIN+ anything" when the thinkpad's keyboard has no WIN key?
thanks!
thanks!
