Re: Best way to accept money for a laptop?

meet at the buyers bank and be there for the withdrawal. go with a couple friends that look like they are ready to break something off on said buyer if tries something funny. And, if you have friends that are strapped that wouldn't hurt to bring them along as well.

Re: SO MANY SHOOTING

just the opposite mr bolton. i am trying to bring context to scriptures that are being butchered on here by folks trying to make moot arguments. The Bible does not contradict itself. In that there are scriptures supporting self-defense and being in the military and police. So how can Exodus 20:13 su...

you cant take scripture out of context. murder is an unlawful killing of another with malice or malicious intent, not self-defense. The Bible does not contradict itself.

Re: SO MANY SHOOTING

I do agree gun laws should be stiffer. Crimes involving firearms should be tougher. Longer waits to purchase a firearm. More training to conceal and carry a firearm, etc........... As far as from the Christian standpoint there are so many sriptures that talk about providing for your family, protecti...

Re: SO MANY SHOOTING

Now put this number into relation to the number of people owning vehicles resp. guns and you get a number that's actually telling something.
approx. 235 million civilian gun owners vs. approx 251 registered vehicles. numbers closer than you probably though, you do the math

Re: SO MANY SHOOTING

I mean seriously what is the major argument against the right to own a gun. I mean the #1 point against it? check out gunsafe.org for interesting facts about guns. Like there are 43x more accidental vehicle deaths per year than accidental gun deaths. Or the fact that assault weapons account for less...

Re: SO MANY SHOOTING

spuddog said it well. the gov't will just end up taking away guns from good people, not everyone. people who want access to a gun will get it no matter the cost. and what keeps folks with bad intentions from picking up a knife, a hammer, an axe, a crossbow, etc......... I have heard stories of folks...

Re: SO MANY SHOOTING

well i had this really awesome reply typed out but i was timed out and it went bye bye! anyways, taking God out of the country is not going to help tragedies like this go away. But, trouble like this was prophesied by God a few thousand years ago. He said sin and lawlessness would increase as we get...

Re: FS: Powerbook Aluminum G4 15.4" WS - Fastest ever made [IMG]

talk about a rare spec'd out model powerbook. DDR2, 1440x960 screen and finding one with the DL drive is tough, especially if it's not beat up. that model honestly in that condition is worth about $700 on ebay or more realistically. I wish i had the money to pick this up for $550, pretty good deal o...

Re: LaserPrinterTonerRefill Query

i think places like cartridge world or whatever that resells refilled cartridges isn't a bad idea at all. I used to work at a document processing place and we used them on our kyocera laser copiers and never ever had even the slightest problem with them and they are almost half the price of an off t...

Re: Calling all LG Dare users

I've been using my dare now for about 2 weeks or so. This is my first touch screen phone so Im pretty pleased with the touch functions of the phone. The phone is decent in my opinion. A couple things I dont like about the phone, the ringer vibrate is pretty weak. I wear the phone on my hip and i can...

Re: Scanner question

usually there is a pre-scan function that lets you see the image on the flatbed as if it were the actual scanned image. From there it lets you set the parameters of the scan so it doesn't overscan, or you can do like was mentioned earlier, and crop the image after its scanned.

Re: recommendations for ear buds

thats the point. in order to get any sort of decent quality on a plane ride you will need noise cancelling in-ear phones, not the bud type. In ear's with comply tips will cancel out quite a bit of outside noise on a plane and let you keep the volume at a lower level to keep your ears safe!! Plus in-...

Re: recommendations for ear buds

if you want something for plane rides and general music you almost have to go the route of noise cancelling type earphones with comply tips. Unless you like turning it way up and disturbing people around and a lack of audio clarity and quality. Ear bud type headphones just dont cut it when it comes ...

Re: recommendations for ear buds

it seems on this forum apple products dont get much love, but i would recommend an ipod. Depends on how much storage you want though. If you need 8gb or less i would recommend a 3rd gen nano. You can get them off ebay factory refurbished for less than 80. If you need something larger I would get a c...

Re: recommendations for ear buds

Etymotics are nice, but the soundport is a tad large and they dont fit my ears that well because i guess my ears on the small side, but im not the only person who dislikes the way they fit. The ER6's are nice though, maybe even a tad bit more low end than the E3c's, but i cant say much for the SE310...

Re: recommendations for ear buds

Shure SE310's for about $100 or less on ebay or if you want something with dual drive or triple driver the price goes up from there. I would recommend the 310's though because I have the predecessor to them which is the Shure E3c's and they are fantastic. Very highly recommeded earphones across the ...
