Hi Marin85, Thanks for your suggestion. We tried the repair option on an XP recovery disc but no matter what we did the machine would boot but the Windows Setup application on the CD could not see the SATA hard drive, whether we selected REPAIR or NEW INSTALL. If we boot using an Acronis Disk Direct...

T60 Touchpad pointer speed

Hi, I have a T60 runnig XP and normally use it with a bluetooth mouse. The problem is that the pointer speed for the trackpad is greatly different from that of the mouse. If I adjust it using the Control Panel>Mouse then the one pointer speed setting applies to both the mouse and the pad. How can I ...

Well the problem is that that password is then used throughout the organisation as network logon and email passwords etc. and would be a pain to change

Thanks anyway, I know it would work but its really a work around rather than a solution.

T60 model 2007 US/UK Keyboard swap

Hi all, I bought my T60 (2007) when working in the US last year and used it happily for several months. When I returned to the UK I bought a UK keyboard from IBM UK and fitted it. I then made all the windows changes to correctly map the keyboard and all is well, I get everything in the right place. ...

Multiple Access Connections

Hi all, After lots of research and useful info from this forum I have a new shiny T60 and its great. In the past I have used netswitcher to control my network connections, as I often need multiple IP addresses on one NIC, and to have wireless active at the same time as wired LAN connection. (I work ...

Access Connections vs Netswitcher

Hi All, I am just about to get my first Thinkpad after reading all the good things you have to say. In my work on pro networked sound systems I am always switching networks and using multiple IP addresses on one NIC. At present I use Netswitcher (http://www.netswitcher.com/) to automate the network ...
