I got a used Thinkpad 600e 2645-4BU. Win 200 pro installed and all IBM drivers installed. I was able to sign on my ISP dialup account. However the modem made a strange sound towards the end of the link negotiation, different from all other modems. (This is not the problem...) Anyways, after dialtone...

Both laptops are similar in every phyiscal spec except CPU and LCD screen type. I need to change out my LCD back cover from 240 to 240x and probably the keyboard as well. Has anyone done similar things? Would that work despite the fact that IBM strangely list all the major components of the two lapt...
