Greetings, I also got one of these InvisibleShileds for my x60s. The first shield was significantly oversized (by 5 mm each side) and shipped with only 2 tiny (I mean tiny) sprayflasks of solution which I ran out of half way through installation. As a result, I ended up with a lot of mess on the scr...

Re: Gray spots on screen
Lenovo service claims such display damage is not under guarantee. This is not true. I took mine in with a much less pervasive problem and they replaced the screen with no hassle (if you do not count the broken bezel and twice replaced motherboard, memory and fan as a hassle :) ). So please pester t...

Dismayed
Let us know how this works out for you. Fred, it worked out for me in the following way -- they finally replaced the mother board, which did take care of the problem with the screen, but in the process they broke the chassis, fixed it with glue and hoped I would not notice it. I did, though, and no...

Gray spot on screen -- normal?
Regards, Today the screen of my x60s all of a sudden developed a gray oval spot about 1.5x2 mm. It is situated visibly below the image layer, somewhere on the white backlight. It is not a dead pixel, and not a speck of dirt on the surface. It does not annoy me by itself, but having them pop up on th...

Anyone tried one of these ShieldZone screen protectors ? Sized for the X60t but should fit the X60, shouldn't it? I would guess it would prevent imprints. I am also curious if anybody tried these on x60s. Moreover, I wonder if I could order a full-body shield with them. From what I could gather, th...

There is at least one glitch with 2.07, however, that I have been able to catch so far and which has not been there in the previous BIOS versions. If I put machine to a standby on either battery or AC with the screen deemed down all the way to "0", then after resume the brightness level is always on...

Re: Bios 2.07 vs old bios (1.03 etc)
Yes, I did. The standby-resume issue was resolved with 2.06+updates as well, but the wattage is slightly better with 2.07 -- say, by ~ 0.05W.sugo wrote: Did you test the above with 2.06 by chance?

Re: Bios 2.07 vs old bios (1.03 etc)
Id the power consumption problem only related to wake up after standby or does the laptop consumes more power at all time? I installed BIOS 2.07 and gave it a thorough test as far as power consumption. My experience is that, coupled with all other Windows and ThinkPad updates, the new BIOS is: (1) ...

Re: Easy(ier) Undocking?
I often put my laptop in standby at night, while leaving it in the X6 base. I need to take it with me in the morning. Is there any way to change it so that it does not (a) require you to software undock (via undock button or fn-f9) and (b) does not resume from standby when you undock? This may help...
