I have never installed IE7. I have no plan to ever install IE7. IE6 was preinstalled and I have never modified the installation.

I have the same issues with system update 2 and do not have IE7 installed. I am a Firefox user exlcusively. I have tried re-installing system update with no improvement. I have been using software installer to keep up to date instead.

I have ensured all of the previous System Recovery install was removed numerous times. The process still halts at 11%. I am able to update using software installer.

System Update eventually returns : "An error occured while gathering user information"

I also can not get system update 2 to work anymore. It stops at 11% and then returns an error message. I have tried removing and manually reinstalling multiple times with no improved results. Any insight on fixing this would be helpful.

The version installed was the most recent on the Lenovo support website (about box says ver. 7.00.0022.00).

Perhaps I need to do some more reading and experimenting with CSS7 also. I will post updates if i overlooked something previously.

Christopher,

I am really impressed by your setup etc. and I have found this thread to be excellent. One question, which miranda skin are you using to go with your other themes shown in the screenshots.

Thanks in advance for easing my curiousity.
