Here are some screen shots. I was able to get it about as low as 12. Here are some screenshots:

Perhaps the difference between your t400 and my t410s is that the i5 (even in low) eats that much more?

Re: T410S Battery Life Observation
I had meant to say watt-hours. My cpu setting is set to low, not adaptive. I thought adaptive might eat more juice. I've also noticed that the battery bar has a delay and have thusly tried to wait.

T410S Battery Life Observation
I'm using a little utility called BatteryBar. When I hover the cursor over it, it display how many Watts per Hour my Thinkpad is consuming. It seems that with power saving set at maximum and a brightness level of 4, it is consuming around 18 watts per hour. That is, without me doing anything on the ...

One thing that I had forgotten to mention is that I have the same problem when I login to the T-mobile network using a huawei usb dongle.

Re: strangest internet connectivity problems ever
Guys, This "fix" is not working. What's really strange is that disabling and re-enabling the adapter doesn't help. Neither helps when I do it physically with the hardware power switch for wifi nor does it help when i disable the network adapter from control panel. Strangely enough, logging out of my...

Re: strangest internet connectivity problems ever
Harryc, This has helped somewhat, but its not perfect yet. Now, when i come out of standby or sleep I cannot log onto any networks for about a minute. It says that it fails connecting. Then, after the second fail message, it connects. Colonel, Thats a good idea, I'll give a try. It's just a pain in ...

Harryc,
Thanks again for the suggestion. I unchecked the following: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/413650/Untitled%20picture.png
However, my power management seems to be missing options for the wifi adapter: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/413650/Untitled%20picture2.png

Re: strangest internet connectivity problems ever
Harryc,
I think its possibly something to do with the Wifi chipset. It seems that eventhough wifi is working and enabled, I cannot see it in the power manager. Interestingly, when i bring up Fn + F5 it doesnt allow me to enable/disable the wifi chipset. I bet it will when i reboot.

Re: strangest internet connectivity problems ever
Colonel, Have tried to flush the DNS and it did not help. I will try to register the DNS next time it happens. However, I believe it to be some sort of gateway routing issue. I don't think DNS is an issue, if it were, then I'd be able to ping 8.8.8.8, but I cannot. Therefore, I have to assume that D...

strangest internet connectivity problems ever
I have t410s which has some strange inet connectivity issue(s). When it comes out of standby or hibernate it connects to a network and reports internet connectivity. However, I cannot connect or ping any sites. Even trying to ping google dns (8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8) fails. Skype however seems to log on...

Re: does x201/t have rollcage?
Incidentally, I have a microfiber clothe that i place on the keyboard. It is cut for a 13.3 laptop. I got it from shaggymac.com. The pressure marks are not where the trackpoint is. The pressure marks are in several places. Those places line up with keys on the keyboard, but like i said, there is a m...

Re: does x201/t have rollcage?
I have an x301 and it has pressure marks. I'm on my second display and they cam back in the same spots as they were in before. I never hold it at the corners. It travels everyday with me in a very well padded compartment of a tumi bag. I carry nothing else in this bad except for a notepad and some s...

Coming from a t60p with a uxga flexview display I am also disappointed in the screen, however two weeks into using the x301 I am getting ever more used to it. The best piece of advice I have for you is that you should not use a good desktop display and/or a thinkpad flexview display close in time to...

I woud like to remind everyone that the maximum sequential rate is mostly useless. Unless youre copying huge files all night and day, you probably won't care if your photoshop file loads in 1.5 seconds or 3 seconds. In fact you've just spent more time reading this thread than all the time you would ...

remote desktop works, but cannot login back in when home
Guys,
I have a strange problem. I have a t61p with an advanced dock. When I use vista's remote desktop to access my vista laptop from work, it is fine. But when i get home and I try to log back in it hangs at a black screen with the mouse cursor visible and responsive.

T60P Vista Ultimate Sleep Takes 5 Minutes
Guys, My laptop is having trouble going to sleep when running of the battery. It can take about 5 minutes for it to go to sleep, eventhough it isn't running many applications, just 3-4. Can anyone think of a reason as to why this might be. I found other people on the forum having trouble coming out ...

T60P Core Duo Vista Atheros 100% CPU Usage
Guys, My thinkpad, for the lack of a better word, is wigging out when the wireless is enabled. CPU usage spikes to 100 percent without any process showing to be using that much CPU and the computer becomes nearly unusable. When I flip the wireless switch off all the problems go away. Does anyone hav...

Gator, Thanks for the feedback. I've tried all the seizure promoting software out there and I've given my baby a shiatsu as well all to no avail.
