Re: Smartest way to solve stuck keys problem?
Thanks, Harryc, for the helpful advice.
I know you didn't want to insult my intelligence, but would you mind directing me to a place where I can find out how to reseat the internal keyboard connector? I tried googling it but didn't come up with instructions.
Thanks!

Smartest way to solve stuck keys problem?
Hi, all, My husband has been using our T41 as a backup computer and something has happened to the keyboard -- about 8 keys down the middle of the keyboard are stuck. I can't even log in to windows because my password uses those keys. I'd like to solve this problem as inexpensively as possible but am...

Re: How to transfer files from x60 HD after x60 has "died"
Thanks for the suggestions. I just got the Transcend enclosure, which of course comes with no useful instructions for installing your own HD (The Quick Start guide tells you to look on the software CD, but no CD comes with the enclosure-only pkg; and the online manual says nothing.) Every buyerwho r...

How to transfer files from x60 HD after x60 has "died"
My thinkpad x60 stopped working the other day -- first a green line down the screen that disappeared temporarily when I flexed the screen, then a few hours later no sign of life although the computer was still plugged in. I haven't tried to repair it yet. I have bought a new computer (a Macbook, run...

Thanks, Harry. Very useful thread, albeit sometimes over my head. We're thinking of Verizon or Alltel for coverage purposes. If we're going to buy a card on ebay do we need to make sure the software that comes with it is designed for use with a particular provider? (ie I see Sierra 595U cards for Sp...

Need help setting up X60 internet access for RV trip
Hi, all, My husband is in the process of buying an RV for a trip through the US southeast -- in fairly unpopulated areas. I'd appreciate any advice you can give me about the best setup for internet access in the RV for times when we're not in a park that provides wireless. My x60 nontablet computer ...

Adrian, One more question: you said that since I can see the card intermittently it's not a bios problem. are you referring to something in the description below, which I gave you earlier? If so, I'm not sure where it "sees" the card. Or was it something else? "When I choose the View Status option, ...

Wireless stopped working on X60 -- help needed
For some reason I can no longer get a wireless connection on my X60. I can still connect by LAN, but when I try to connect through the wireless connection it doesn't work (I'm using LAN to send this so can't tell you exactly what words it uses, but it tells me that it can't connect after taking a LO...

Card and Cable to download video to X60?
I'm sorry to have to ask such a basic question, but I want to download video from my Canon camcorder to my X60. The Canon instruction book said to use a DV cable, and I understand that to be the same as a firewire/1394 cable. Elsewhere on this site I've read that the X60 has a 4-pin firewire port. S...

Thanks, Ryan. I hadn't thought of that. Unfortunately, neither applies to me. the battery isn't on recall and sadly, I bought this machine from a reseller on ebay and his warranty is worthless. Did new adapter plug-in cord kill battery?

After four days the charge light on my computer started flashing orange, and I have an error message telling me ...

Using x60 to project slide show
I've made a slideshow for my daughter's wedding Aug 24 using Photoshop Elements on my X60. My daughter says she has a projector for showing the show; all I have to do is hook my computer up. But I've just realized that I have no idea what it will take to make the hook-up. We also have a fairly basic...
