Finally decided to go for a top of the range T510 15.6" to replace the T60p with the 15" IPS display. Only regret I have is that I didn't go for a 15" display at a higher resolution. Not sure if these panels are still being produced and it certainly wasn't an option when purchasing. I prefer the 4:3...

Why do people think OS X is intuitive? To me, the OS is a throwback to the days when only one app at a time could be run, hence the single mouse button and menu bar.

I exclusively use the Thinkpoint. Is it possible to disable the trackpad and associated buttons? I find it sometimes does a right click (prob due to my hand resting near the right of the trackpad).

I'm using Ubuntu.

If its just the memory that needed reseating then its nothing to worry about. Happens frequently when computers are shipped.

Its possible to upgrade the processor on a T60p? Are they not soldered in?

I phoned Lenovo today and the CSA wouldn't guarantee I'd get my 15" T60P. He did offer to to give me the new widescreen version, but couldn't confirm the resolution or whether if was flexview. He did say Lenovo were launching the new model in a couple of weeks.

What are you basing that on? Lenovo customer services assured me that I will get it. Mind you, I have little faith in their promises anymore.

As my order has now been delayed by another month, can anyone recommend any alternatives to the T60p (and not exclusive to the IBM/Lenovo range) with similar specs? My order for the T60p has been delayed again - this time till 27/10/06. That's almost two months after placing the inital order.

I just called Lenovo now to checkup on my order and the sales rep confirmed the T60p was to be discontinued.

Mine's been further delayed due to the availability of 15" screens. I asked to have the shipping upgraded to next day business. Apparently they can't do that wiouth canceling the entire order. That has to be one of the worst process I have come accross.

Have you tried a reinstall?
