Re: mini-dock + DVI .. no signal... but works during boot!
Hello, Thanks for looking at this thread. To answer your question - I just tested the system with a different DVI monitor and it works fine. But my monitor, when connected, is not recognized by windows (no little chime sound) and no signal is detected. So I think we can conclude that my ViewSonic VP...

mini-dock + DVI .. no signal... but works during boot!
Hello, Here is a problem which some of you have certainly seen before. I have a T60p which I use with mini-dock to get DVI port to connect to an external monitor. Today after reboot, I can no longer connect to external monitor using DVI. The monitor just doesn't detect the signal. Works fine with VG...

Re: T60 no VGA output (likely hardware problem)
Most likely it's broken. So you have to send it back to Lenovo for repairs.
I just got mine back with this exact problem.
LCD wasn't working and when connected to video projector, I get fuzzy
image and then it just shuts down (projector).
Got motherboard replaced and now it's working fine again.

Calibrating color with Syder2Pro ColorVision
Hello, I borrowed at work ColorVision calibration system. Went through calibration process and at the end got error message saying that system is unable to disassociate TPFLX.icm (current color profile). Basically I have FlexView driver installed with TPFLX profile associated. And it won't let me ch...

dual-screen intermittent blinking/flashing
I connected a second LCD screen (DVI) using minidock. Every 2 minutes or so the screen sort-of blinks/flashes. Exteremely annoying and makes it very difficult to work. It's as if something is resetting or refreshing it... or changing some settings. It happends actually every 100 seconds... Does any1...

fan problem - again! ... wtf ?
It seems that cooling system is dead again. I don't feel fan spinning and system overheats and hangs dead. It's second time in two years that that happend. So much for IBM realiability - really!

Re: T60/X1400 with Advanced Mini-Dock DVI vs. VGA DB15
Same problem. Ordered Viewsonic VP2030b 1600x1200 and with VGA the image is not very crisp and somewhat shaky. I don't have minidock and I blame these problems on VGA. I hope DVI connection will eliminate this problem, cause my notebook screen is really much better than external panel with current s...

Have you gone into the properties for the display adapter and enabled this feature? I believe by default it is disabled. It is not clear from your post that you have to me. It would be helpful to know the OS you are running and your video card as well. Thanks! You are right - the option was disabled!

T60p + external screen = not continious space ? (Mac can!)
Hello, Maybe I was a bit naive, when I decided to add an external LCD panel. I just bought a 20" LCD panel thinking that I will be able to use my notebook LCD and external screen at the same time as continous space. But no.. I just get double image. The way I thought about it is because a guy at wor...

Your system is in burning like hell. Things can burn at that temperature, make sure your gpu is getting enough heatsink, get it checked. Yeah. I think there is a problem with fan. It's blowing air, but it seems much weaker than before. [censored]. And customer support was not all that great - it to...

Hangs dead
Well... Here it comes. My T60p just hangs dead after couple hours of usage. No system error, nothing in logs. Everything just freezes and stops responding. I have no idea how to debug this problem and what possibly can be done. I've done recently a windows security upgrade. Other than that - I have ...

Space bar is acting funny
Ok. First problem (well...second actually after the strange gray point on the screen) for my relatively new T60p. Space bar sometimes gets stuck on the right side. Actually something prevents it from going down. Very annoying I must say - especially after all the hype about thinkpad keyboards. I can...

I must agree - the design of thinkpad is less than thrilling. It's definetely not sexy or pretty. However ergonomically - it turned out to be very-very good. There are no annoyances, so that means that everything has been thoght through. It's very comfortable to work with and that's what it's about....

weird display problem - gray dot below the screen (lamp?)
I have a very strange thing, which came up today. A blurry gray dot in the middle of the screen about 3x3 pixels, but it's located on the layer below the TFT. It looks like as if something is stuck on the lamp behind the screen. Obviously it's extremely annoying... I called customer support and will...

ATI FireGL 5200V and 3DSMax = freeze
Any1 here running 3DSMax (7.0) on T60p (FireGL 5200V) ?
If I use OpenGL drivers - machine just freezes after
some basic 3DSMax activity. With Direct3D it works fine.
I'm using ATI driver 8.241.1.0
Is there anything that needs to be configured in Catalyst Center.
Please help.
Thanks, M.
