Re: [WTB] Cable+invertor KIT to put a hv150ux2-100 screen in a T60/T61
You need this 14-pin connector https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006397950000.html?gatewayAdapt=deu2glo Cut off the black connector, rearrange the wires, join them into 4 groups of 1 wire each, extend each group cable by another 10cm and solder those 4 to the inverter. You can use a paint stripper...

Re: X61s screen backlight doesn't work. Faulty mobo?
It is most likely fuse F2 near the LCD-connector.
It's a 3A/32V/Fast fuse, tiny little thing, usually with letter P printed on it.
P/N ERBRD3R00X or 434003
You can solder the new one on top of the old one.

Just switch off, unplug power supply, open it up and remove both batteries.
Plug power supply in and try again.
Let us know what happens.
If it boots again, then both batteries are dead.

Maybe you changed from a CCFL screen to a LED screen.
In that case you also need to change from an inverter card to a LED control card.
See the HMM for details/part numbers.

You should be able to PM now. As for the R60, see this post. The 15" R60 chassis is almost identical to the T60 15" chassis. You need to shorten the "standup", as shown in the lower red circle. And cut away some part, as shown in the top red circle. That is roughly where the modem port sits on the T...

Apparently that model is very picky about NVMe SSDs. One that will work is the WD Black, read this , especially posts #6 and #7. NVMe enclosures warn about this: NOTICE ✔ To make this enclosure a bootable drive, please use your OS tools to make it. For example MediaCreationTool for WIN 10, Disk Util...

Re: Help, got a weird machine
On the AC-7265 wifi card connect the white cable (from orange/white) to 2 and the black cable (from blue/black) to 1.
Orange and blue are for the optional WWAN card.
As seen in the HMM 1160 dc-in cable assembly you need to buy:
- 04X3863 DC-IN Cable ASM
- 04X5343 Bracket DC IN
- M2 x 3mm screw

Get the T440s manual from the HMM-Manuals link above.
Then in there check 1160 dc-in cable assembly, which has P/N or FRU 04X3863.

The only time I see (bare) CMOS is in the supermarket.
To be honest, I haven't looked online for prices in many years, as I still have many used Lenovo ones lying about.
They used to be rather expensive from what I remember...

Re: Looking for a CMOS battery for Lenovo X1 tablet gen 3
Swapping connectors is only part of the problem (and could have been done easier/faster with just a small pin or paperclip). A bare CMOS battery costs about $3. That same battery with cables and a connector costs probably $10 or more. More work if you also need to swap the (possibly wrong) connector...

People will want to know if that T61 mobo has Intel GPU or nVidia GPU.
If nVidia, what is the FRU of the motherboard and what production date is on the GPU-chip.

On this picture it is: 1021A2, meaning Year 2010 and Week 21.

Welcome to the Forum.
Get the manual from the HMM-Manuals link above, it tells you which screw sizes are used where.
Many screws are interchangeable with other Thinkpads.
You need to remove that stripped screw first, then open the laptop to check the cable for the touchpad.
