LF: UK keyboard, Non-Backlit, LiteOn for T430/T530/W530/X230. ** prefer Swap for US one**

I'm looking for a LiteOn Non-Backlit Keyboard with UK layout that fits on T430/T530/W530/X230 Series and probably others. Any one of the following three FRUs: 04W3203 or 04X1306 (preferred) or 04Y0594 , all non-backlit, made by LiteOn (LTN). NO other brands/models considered. Must be in great shape!...

Re: Upgrading X220/X230 to FHD 1080p

@evening_hunger: You may want to look at a Toshiba DD0BLILC130 cable, it's 30-pin eDP and about 33cm long. https://www.chipbay.uk/product/toshiba-s50-s50-b-s55t-b5-s55-b-s55-c5274-l50-b-screen-ribbon-cable-dd0blilc130/ https://www.ebay.com/itm/282506950668 Don't know the pin-out of those. Re: W530 POSTs Once in a Blue Moon

It sounds more and more like a blown BIOS. A previous owner might have wanted to remove the wifi-whitelist and failed... Assuming there's no password on the BIOS, replacing those chips is cheaper than a new mobo, but requires deft manipulations. Check with the seller first, or return it for a full r...

Is that a CCFL backlight?

Re: Can I put this wifi AC to T61:Intel 7260NGW AN ?

Most of my current machines run with 7260-AC and Intel IT-Administrator drivers, without that Proset bloatware.
They are more than good enough for me. YMMV.

Re: W530 POSTs Once in a Blue Moon

Measure the CMOS voltage, preferably over 3.0V
Even without CMOS and with only 1 module (in the proper slot), it should boot into BIOS to set date/time.
Try reseating the CPU.

Welcome to the Forum.
See if this helps: https://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=117880
(W520 and W530 can both have 4 RAM-slots).
Have you checked the RAM in another machine?
Are you using low-voltage (1.33V) RAM?

Re: T61 setup reasonable price

In Europe I guess about €60-80 max. if it has 1280x800 LCD.
Maybe up to €100 if it has 1440x900.
It's very hard to find batteries for a 14.1" widescreen.
It's also not exactly a lightweight machine.

Re: FS: W540 with high specs + touchpad mod

don't know what the touchpad mod is since i hate touchpads and never use them.. The X240/T440/T540/W540 came with the so-called clunkpad , one pad without any trackpoint/mouse buttons. The mod replaced the clunkpad with a proper touchpad and the 3 missing buttons. After the mod, you can still disab...

If you only connect the keyboard and not the palmrest/trackpad, does trackpoint work?
If so forget about the trackpad, or buy another motherboard.

AFAIK only in 08/08 and later did they install revised nVidia chips.
OTOH, if that machine still runs fine after all these years, it may have been treated kindly.
As there is no MTM-info available, check if it might not have Intel X3100 graphics.

or the first 7 chars. from the System unit serial number in BIOS?

Nope, you need a card like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/273215327211 with a 1/2-size bracket like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/262542920366
Make sure your card says: Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
The bracket you can make yourself from e.g. an old credit card.

Up to 2x2GB, the RAM will run in Dual Channel mode, the rest, above 4GB, will run in Single Channel mode. Dual is slightly faster than single, but not by much, and not everywhere. On such old machines you won't notice any difference anyway, so put in what you like/have. If hunting for more, look for...

You can also check the (T42) BIOS with SLIC Toolkit if it now has Slic2.1.
I never had a T40/1/2, only T43, otherwise I'm sure I would have had something usable here.

Re: Diagnosing T60 14" LCD Issues

You could try to replace the inverter, but my bet is on a burned-out CCFL.
It's much easier to buy a replacement LCD, rather than replace the CCFL.
If you can find a complete working lid from a 14.1" 4:3 T61, that will also fit/work.
