Re: X1 Carbon Gen 11
As a user of X1C with OLED myself, the screen is matte. However i chose the middle processor i7 1355U instead the higher one, worry that the thin chassis cannot handle the heat. So far no issues with the heat, i only notice only bottom left side near the screen (where the charger is plugged in) is a...

Re: T430, T430s or X230
In my opinion, 900 vertical resolution (HD+ 1600X900) is the minimum you should get in any laptop these days. Especially if you intended to use the laptop for working. Below that you have to use many scrolling up and down when viewing documents, spreadsheets etc. If you want to use your laptop mainl...

T410i : Long BIOS restart.. how do I reflash my BIOS??
Dear all, mine is 2518-GNA with Intel Corei5-430M. I just have a weird long windows shutdown problem. It started when i upgraded my memory to PC13333. Later it creates random blue screen. I decided to go back to PC8500 and everything seems fine. I am not sure since exactly when, but now my system to...

Re: Gobi 2000 on thinkpad
I acquired Gobi 2000 and it was a bare card without any branding (whether HP, Lenovo or whatever) on it from ebay and it works flawlessly on the T410i. Gobi includes GPS and A_GPS built in, and that is also work flawlessly as long as you are in the vehicle or in the outdoor area. It is difficult and...

Re: Possible to upgrade T410i to i5 processor?
I am using a T410i with Core i5 430-M. HWinfo32 says that it has Turbo Boost features. Assuming using the same board, i think T410i is upgradeable to i5 though. Chipset is QM57.

Re: T410i build quality
I am aware of the screen issues of Thinkpad. As previous Z61 and R400 user, the worst is R400. But i learn that it is better to choose highest resolution screen available for every screen size, because Thinkpad is not known for their screen quality. Lower screen resolution just make it worse. As far...

Re: T410i build quality
I have been using this 'i' for about 4 months and there is no difference with regular T410. It physically the same with its big brother. The difference is only in lack of smart card reader and lower processor.

Re: Is the Edge 13 WWAN ready?
I am using AMD model, 0197-39A, and yes this is WWAN upgradeable. One way to find out is just look into the SIM card slot under the battery, if exist then it is upgradeable.
I open it once to upgrade memory, and yes, there is one empty slot for mini PIC-e card.

Re: What will happen to the R series?
..... Bottom line, the T400s/T410s are the only true T series machines, the rest are R series with T series stickers and rubberized covers masqueraded to sell at higher prices for corporate buyers that have bought "top of the line" ThinkPads since the 90s. It's a possibility anyway! As a T410 owner...

Re: Buying a ThinkPad Rx00 Soon, Opinions Please
R400 have smaller differences than T400. Google it you will find many website comparing between the two.
As a previous R400 long time user, this machine have served me well. Build quality is solid with thinkpad characteristic weakness : some flex near the ultra bay if you press it hard.

Dear all, sorry if this have been asked before, but i was wondering can Sierra Wireless MC8775 HSDPA for ThinkPad (FRU 42T0931) be installed on T410 system? R400 WWAN Upgradeable?
Dear all,
my company just acquired R400 for most of the staff here. Prodcut type is 7443-TGA. On specs at lenovo.com says it has WWAN upgradeable.
Can we buy some WWAN module and install it on the laptop? Or it have to be done by service center?
Thanks

It is safe to switch memory from Z61 to R400?
Dear all
Currently i have Z61 9451-A21 (T2500 2GHz) with 2 X 1 GB RAM. I am planning to take out 1 GB and put it to R400 7443-TGA (P8400 2.26Ghz).
Since i am not quite familiar with detail specs, can i put the 1 GB RAM from that Z61 to R400?
Any help will be very appreciated. Thanks

LG-Philips Screen Only Able To Show 262k Colors!
I really just dont know whether someone has brought up this issue before or not.
