Thanks Since R&R did not work for me I´ve done an Acronis image of the C: drive + the hidden partion. Tested, it works. Since I don´t need the recovery partion I´ve tried to get rid of it to no avail. I´ve uninstalled R&R and disabled the hidden partion in BIOS. I can´t get the hidden partion to sho...

Cannot enter R&R Disc needs to configure password?!
Hi! I decided to test my rescue media today. I´m glad I did, because I can´t get it to work. I have one CD and one DVD that I´ve made with the create rescue media option in productivity center. After booting with the CD and loading for a while I get prompted for a password. I enter my windows/bios p...

Have you tried to disable CPU power management in the BIOS?
Maybe it is similar to GUI activity noise as described in this thread

I'm unclear on why a system constantly writing large volumes of audio data shouldn't be set up on a 2 partition config... It should! I´m not sure your question was for me as I completely agree. This is how I´m going to set up my system eventually; Harddrive one Partion 1 OS, Applications (defrag if...

Actually defragmentation is advised against when it comes to pro audio. You will actually get less performance if you defrag. Your audio app knows best where your audio project files should be so you don´t want to mess with them. Once again...what is true for non-audio users is not true for audio us...

Hi!
I just received my brand new T60. I tried to put in a cd and explore it but nothing happens. It can read the cd label though.
What do I do?

Nice answer :D Thanks! About the T60P and Z series...I don´t like widescreen so the Z series was out fast! I got a Siig firewire 800 expresscard for my FW needs. The T60P would have been too expensive considering my soundcard cost $1129 and besides a high res screen would hurt my myopic eyes. If I n...

Hi good people! I just ordered a T60 to be tested and hopefully used for pro audio recording. I have some questions for you seasoned T60 owners. When it arrives next week I´m going to do some upgrades and alot of tweaking to make it suitable to my needs. This is what I´m planning; 1. Upgrade the har...

Update! The model I was looking at has finally come to Sweden and ships with an internal DVD burner. :D However to make things more complicated I´ve decided, I´ll probably want to use the optical bay for a second harddrive most of the time. Is there a type of USB external case for the 9.5" slim DVD ...

I seriously doubt you´ll have any luck with any cardbuscard... Maybe you should get an expresscard instead...have you tried any? And then when your project is finished you should try to reinstall windows to see if it´s a driver conflict problem. If your problem persists you should send the notebook ...

The two firewire cards that have the most reliable reputation are the ones from LaCie and the ones from Siig I´d try this one first as I´ve seen alot of pros use it.
