Sounds kinda similar to my problem. Could you explain more about the problems you're having, like did u see the ibm sign at startup or the windows loading screen?

Thanks for all the input guys, esp. darkdragoon. The problem is I cant get into windows XP, it just freezes there. What I ended up doing was installing a second copy of Windows XP on my comp and hooked it up to my network and backed up all the files i needed. Now I'm in the process of reformatting.

I tried to repair windows, but it couldnt copy one file driver.cab so i skipped it. Right now it keeps getting stuck on installing the devices. It's asking for a file called kuser.dll but I can't use the mouse or the keyboard to do anything.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I ended up trying to run linux off a cd just to see what would happen and it worked. I could move the mouse and everything. SO i think it's a problem with windows. I was trying to do a system restore right before this happened. The question is now can I somehow fix ...

Everytime I boot up to the log in screen on WIndows my mouse doesn't move. I'm not sure why. Booting up in safe mode doesn't work either. I also tried booting up with it's last known good config.
