I have looked through the forums and google and can't find the diffrent part numbers for X201 keyboards. (NMB,Alps,CHICONY). can someone point me to where I can find those information, and maybe some general info on which seems to be the better one.
Thank you,

Re: X220 and X201 keyboards compatible?
comparing pictures from the back of the keyboards they do look very different. very disappointment, I was happy that I might get a keyboard upgrade as a result of my mistake.dr_st wrote:Not compatible. Different keyboards, different screw layouts.

Re: Best Firewall/AV for X201s ?
I have only used the M$ firewall since I had my X200s (previously used PCTools free firewall). Was using Avast for anti virus, but have recently switched to Microsoft Security Essentials (seems a bit slow when doing a quick or full scan, but no problems with real time scanning). I did a test few da...

The 43Y6553 card has a Realtek RTL8192SE chipset, which is the culprit. There are also 60Y3177, 60Y3185 and 60Y3187 cards listed as B/G/N, but each have N disabled ! http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/ThinkPad_11b/g/n_Wireless_LAN_Mini-PCI_Express_Adapter_II http://www.realtek.com.tw/products/productsVi...

Re: Problem with 5.4Ghz 802.11n Network
Well, I would need the laptop to be able to pickup 5.4Ghz, I live in an apartment and 2.4Ghz is not really an option due to the amount of interference I get. the fact that the laptop can't pickup 5.4Ghz would be a deal breaker for me.

Problem with 5.4Ghz 802.11n Network
Just bought a Thinkpad edge, it has a 43Y6553 (ThinkPad 11b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter II?) wireless card. I also have a Linksys 610n dual band router which works fine with my other laptops, but my Edge only sees the G band of the router. my guess is that the network card installed do...

Think of "Sony" and "Bose", they are both made by the same company!!! However "Bose" is limited to the "high end" audio/video stuff and there is no mention of the "Sony" name! I know its off topic but I had to mention the fact that that's just not true. Bose is a private company found and managed b...

Re: T60P & T61P Ordered
Well, not many laptops allow you to do both simultaneously! The T61p's super-high display real estate makes this possible: web browser on the left half of the screen and the movie on the right. well, actually, I think all the current laptops are able to handle that without any problems, last time i...

I would not touch the Atheros wireless card. You can try solving your problem by updating drivers, installing access connection. The Intel card, despite having problem, is part of the Centrino platform which benefits from better power management and saving than the Atheros card. Hence, you will hav...

Hi, when I installed vista, i had all three of the applications that you mentioned, how i used to manage it was, i had the IBM power manager profile set to the blank one in the list, so the power manager would not change the power settings in anyway, i only had it installed to have the task bar batt...
