forums.lenovo.com answered my question. no. I'm very disappointed with "Lenovo" and miss IBM. At least support is still good.

I would not recommend the W530 due to various small problems similar to this. I expect better from a top line computer.

Can the W530 use the ThinkPad UltraBase Series 3 docking station? A second ultrabay would be very helpful.

I ordered my w530 yesterday with the RAID option. Initially I'll run the current drives as is but eventually switch to the SSD. Let us know how it goes. This will be my third thinkpad over a span of +10 years. Their support was a class act years ago. I can not speak to recent history.

The company newmodeus.com claims to sell hard drive caddies for the T60P (and other T60s).

The caddy has a pin port for the hard drive not the board edge i.e. The new Hitachi hard drive will not work with it.

That's what I thought. It was working for over a year. Possibily I'll unload/reload the drivers.

I suddenly started getting messages from my 770Z,
searching for new drivers for PCI Network Controller.

I'm unable to find them on the CD.

From what I read, 802.11n runs at either 2.4 or 5 GHz. As the frequency goes up, walls and metal becomes more of a problem.
