Did you ever resolve this problem? I am having the same one now, was working fine, stopped. Is it something I did?

OK, sorry to prattle on about this, but I now have a few more datapoints and a workaround for this pathetic bloody defect in Access Connections (no, I'm not frustrated, why do you ask?) Installed F-Secure this time and got the machine pretty much locked up - sluggish to the extent of uselessness. I ...

Well, I did some testing today and the problem isn't email, it's AVG's resident scanner. If you don't install the email plug-in you still get the same problem, but if you simply turn off resident scanning, the problem goes away. I'm giving up on figuring this out. One last interesting thing though i...

It kind of makes you wonder what the heck Access Connections (or these AVs) is doing though doesn't it? One is a piece of software that should be resetting your communications parameters, the other one looking at files that are accessed. The two should be orthogonal. Unless...what about email scanni...

Doh! Thanks, I did do a search but missed this. Looks like the problem is either: 1) Uninstalling one AV then reinstalling some other AVs, e.g., CA and AVG or 2) Random corruption of the TAC profiles caused by installing an AV (may or may not be AV - specific) and the fix is either: a) Uninstall TAC...

[censored] I'm Good :-)
OK, solved my own problem here but I'll be darned if I know what was happening. It seems that AVG 7.5, the anti-virus program from Grisoft was the culprit. I uninstalled it and the problem cleared up entirely. I guess the easiest thing is to find another free AV, but I would still be interested to k...

Yet another Access Connections problem
I started a thread a while back about a problem with TAC disconnecting after going on battery power. It looks like we have found the answer to that one. Alas, I am now experiencing a new problem that seems to be unrelated (is this software really on version 4.X?) Just recently, AcSvc.exe has decided...

Were you using Comodo on your other ThinkPads? Not all of them of course (this goes back 12-13 years) but the last two yes. Let's not get too OT here though, the problem occurred with the pre-installed Symantec kit as well so while it could be related to the firewall it's not likely. I'll see if I ...

Still a problem
Alas, the updates did not fix the problem. I'm not using Zone Alarm, using Comodo instead. The problem occurs about 75% of the time. Followed the advice to enable location switching to no avail. Have tried repairing the connection through windows and disabling the firewall but that hasn't helped eit...

I am using Windows, Access Connections 4.21, IBM 11 a/b/g card with newest driver and Symantec Client Security V3.1.5 on my T41. I have the "same" setup on my NetVista Desktop minus Access Connections, minus wireless and plus Wired Ethernet. I can always reconnect after suspend, and most times it i...

Yup, I have exactly the same problem. Which model/wireless card/bios do you have? I have the new T60 widescreen (87445BU) with the Thinkpad a/b/g/n wireless card. My bios was 7IET19WW. I called Lenovo on Saturday and they suggested putting the latest bios (7IET20WW). ... EDIT: Called Lenovo tonight...

Dropped wireless connections requires reboot
I'm trying to figure out the exact patter to this, but it appears that randomly when I switch power sources from mains power to battery and sometimes when the computer suspends, I permanently lose my WiFi connection. Everything shows that the radio is still on (both software and the little WiFi ligh...
