Check all of the fuses on the board. They have Fx labels near them where x is a number. My problem is F2 is open when it should be close to zero ohms when measured with an ohm meter.

Yes, that is the fuse. I had read the other thread you mention but for some reason it didn't register with me that it was the same fuse.
