Re: Running on an X61 Tablet - first impressions
Working great after about a month. Bluetooth, wireless, etc all working great. If you are afraid, I would suggest a drive image with your current O.S. then install 7 and give it a go. Better yet, buy a $60 hard drive and install 7 on that, that way you will have the other drive ready to go in case y...

Re: MS Nightmare: Windows 7 deemed LESS secure than Vista
The wide beta approach is just plain dumb from a product engineering point of view, but the Microsoft marketing people probably love it in terms of creating market "buzz".... however its, pragamatically, just another case of marketing style triumphing over product substance ! Cheers, Bill B.[/quote]...

Re: Hitachi Travelstar 7K320 320GB 7200 compatibility with x60s?
You shouldn't have any vibration or noise issues with that drive but you will not get sata300 on an x60 or x61. Lenovo has dummied down the hardware. That being said, that drive should be the fastest (other than ssd) that you can put into your machine. Get a great price at zipzoomfly dotcom Install ...

Yeah...are you not able to restore from one of your backups(assuming you have one)?
A driver causing a complete hardware/os crash is pretty rare unless you are constantly fiddling with your machine.

Re: Adobe Reader 9 plugin problem in W7b
Not exactly the answer you were looking for but I am running acrobat standard 8 in windows 7 32 bit and I was able to open your file yet it gave me an error saying something about "acrobat reader" not installed which is true because it's not installed. I clicked ok and it opened right up. I have bee...

I'm a fanboy now. Working great for me. Better than vista x64 although some of the cool features you see on youtube aren't working because we don't have true "multitouch".

Re: Windows 7 Beta Know Issues (sticky?)
I too am running windows 7 beta 32 bit with virtually no issues on my x61t 4 gb travelstar 7k200. This is coming from Vista x64 and feel that windows 7 was an upgrade for me (at least after 3 days of run time). To fix the issue with turning on/off bluetooth and wireless separately, you have to open ...

Re: Windows 7 and Active protection
Although active protection is working great, I am noticing a small decrease in battery life. Maybe 20 minutes? I have not run any scientific tests but it just "feels" that way. Do you think this is true?

This disabled touch functionality for me. Tried re-installing both drivers with no success.
In the end had to go back to only multitouch driver.
