Can the T60 read 64GB micro SD cards with a usb card reader?

I've ordered a couple of cheap microsd card readers on ebay, and while they are read and recognized perfectly fine on the t60 using a 2gb microsd card, the t60 won't recognize a 64gb microsd card. It always asks if I want to format the card, even if it's formatted to the correct format already. It's...

I'm willing to have one where I wait while it caches/converts the original files into low res files for editing.

Getting rid of the T500 1650 x 1080 laptop and going back to the T60, still hoping on the T520

Got a T500 with 8gb of Ram for $125 while I was waiting on a replacement CCFL. Windows 7 was a bit meh for me. It's like a clunky version of W8.1, and on the T60, I have the T60 customized to work exactly as I want it to. The T500 8gb was nicer, it surfed a smidge faster than the T60, a smidge faste...

Re: Time to upgrade the cpu from t7200 to t7400

I've looked online, Where the heck do I plug this thing in on a t60? Do I have to get a case to plug it into one of the two pci slots on the side? Or do I have to remove something internal to make this fit? Because I don't remember seeing any space inside on the motherboard to put this thing in. But...

So the 65w is more than enough power to power the t60 at full cpu?

I already have another t60 with a 90w power source.

Should I keep the 65w or 90w power source?

I like the 65w for it's smaller form factor, but the 90w is more powerful of course.

Which is better? I'm assuming that the 90w is more efficient, less heat generating, and of course, more powerful.

I often do transcoding and do not run the laptop with a battery.

That's the easiest thing to do I guess.

I just wish that there was one browser that did it all.

Juggling between 3 browsers is a bit of a pain....

Time to upgrade the cpu from t7200 to t7400

It's only .16 increase in cpu power, but when I watch youtube videos on chrome, it easily pegs at max cpu even on 480.

$10 isn't that big of a deal, and a 7600 doesn't seem worth it at $40.

I can put the 7200 into the backup t60 that has the 1.86cpu.....

I'm looking at task manager and it says that there is 3144010 or something like that.

Even 324000 or something like that would be worth if as I wouldn't notice any real loss on the server, and the psychologial gain on the DD would help.

Not sure if they buzz or not, but mine with the old inverter and the old pinking ccfl tube did not, or at least at a level below what the fan noise would have been. The noise is very loud. I've read somewhere else that inverters and CCFLs should be changed at the same time. I ran with a bad CCFL for...

Just replaced the CCFL on my T60 aaaand now a buzzing inverter.

It was a pretty easy change. The saving grace was that the white plastic part of the white housing that holds the reflector and CCFL bulb was broken at the edges, so I could remove the CCFL, reflector AND the plastic that came with it out in one piece so I could work on that part without disturbing ...

Found a bit of a blurb to possibly use the non addressable as a ramdrive

https://www.megaleecher.net/RAMDisk

Not sure of the bios reference, but if I can get .75gb of a ram drive, I can actually make that very useful for me by putting TWO of my daily web browsers in it.

I'll post updates.

Eeking out every usable between 2 T60s, 2 1gb ram, and 2 2gb ram pieces.

Typical 'middle mouse button' action in a webbrowser when you click is: On a blank space in the web page -> scrolling mode On a link -> Open link in background tab On a tab -> Close tab. At this point. asides from a little investment. Wouldn't hurt to try to put in a new ccfl.

After the screen was off for awhile, I accessed it again, and during the '60 second countdown', there was a long squelch in decreasing frequency that when stopped, the screen went of pretty quickly as well.

Is that an inverter issue?
