I'm selling my X120e. I'm actually pulling the SSD and ram. These support 16GB of ram (which I have run in it for quite a while).
If you are interested, let me know.

Re: Is the x120e considered a "real" ThinkPad? and the laptop is slow, how to speed up?
I had an X60s that I really like...primarily because of the form factor AND because I was able to purchase it sans trackpad (ONLY had the trackpoint...which I love). I currently have an X120e that I too purchased back in 2011. Just recently dusted it off and installed Windows 10 on it (first time it...

Re: X120e
I maxed my X120E with 8GB ram, a 256GB SSD, a 802.11AC wifi card an a Broadcom HD decoder. I don't thing you can do more at this point aside from getting larger SSD's. The X120e will take 16GB of ram (2x8GB). I just installed Win10 on mine: http://uhhh.org/~lherzog/blog-images/Win10-X120e-tn.jpg

Re: X120e Battery Problem
I'm having the same issue with my battery...and I thought it was due to poor power management under Ubuntu. Now that I read you issue, perhaps I simply have a bad battery as well?? This last time I tested it, I didn't watch closely, but know that in under one hour, it went from 100% to 10% (asking m...

Re: Mouse/pointer issue with x120e and linux
Appears to be ram-related. No issues with 2x2GB ram installed. 2x4GB gives my visible video issues. And with 2x8GB, I have the before-mentioned problems. Wrong. Same issues resurfaced. I see this issue under any linux distro I install (now currently have Fedora 16 installed). It actually appears to...

Mouse/pointer issue with x120e and linux
I am running into this issue under various installs of Linux (the latest two, Ubuntu and OpenSuSE). Happens with an external mouse, trackpoint buttons, and trackpad buttons. Basically, what happens is that the pointing device buttons are not responded to. It is like the button input is severely lagg...

You've received enough confirmation I think...but I'll chime in and say my x120e makes no such noise either.

Re: X201s and Ubuntu
Glad to hear most everything works out of the box (one of the great things about Linux on thinkpads, for the most part).
I am considering a X201s and would definitely be running Linux exclusively (I stay away from the nasty as much as possible)

it's $1000 OBO, so make ME an offer I can't refuse. Take a look at some reviews...it doesn't get better than the LP3065. Note this monitor has THREE dual-link DVI inputs. Price out dual-link DVI KVM's and/or find another monitor with as many DVI inputs. I'm not looking to give it away, so if you are...

Trackpad question.
I know that the R(e) and X lines are the only thinkpads that don't include a trackpad. However, I thought I read that you can order replacement keyboard bezels (or whatever you call them) without the trackpad for other models. Is this true? I'd love to have a trackpad-less, modern T-series Thinkpad....

all-in-one, network printer/scanner/fax
I'm looking for an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier/fax for my home office. I need this device to be fully functional via the network (scanning and printing) from both OS X (leopard) and the nasty . I do not need photo printing quality, but would prefer the ability to print in color on occassion (h...

funny, mine has just done this however it's probably cheaper for my to buy complete junker T23s off ebay and rip 'em up rather than buy the parts new If you have the same symptoms, I highly suggest ordering a replacement CPU fan/heatsink off of Ebay. They are quite plentiful AND cheap. (and was all...
