Re: WTB: x61 or x61s

All I need is the base laptop itself. Already have a dock and all the upgrades I would need from other machines that I have lying around.

Re: 10.6.X on X60/T60/X61 (CoreDuo, Core2Duo / GMA950, GMA3100)

Looks like my original partitioning scheme was the problem. I duplicated the partition order that I used on my X60s and all is working fine now - sound, too.

Triple booting with Win7 Ultimate 64-bit, SL, and Ubuntu with no problems.

I just somewhat successfully loaded SL on my x61. My specs: 7673-Y3S core 2 duo t7500 Intel X3100 8GB RAM Airlink 101 Wireless N 150 (since my Intel card won't work) AD1984HD sound SL installs successfully but I am unable to boot directly despite installing Chameleon - I have to use my USB drive to ...

Re: A tight fitting protective sleeve for x60s

I'm almost certain that the link for the Tucano is the one that I have. I can't be sure because they didn't list the size but mine is definitely the XS. You didn't mention what size battery you have but if you have a 4-cell like I do it fits quite nicely.

Re: A tight fitting protective sleeve for x60s

I have a Tucano Folder XS (http://www.buy.com/prod/tucano-bfxs111- ... 45719.html) and a Booq Vyper XXS.

The Tucano is the tigher fit since it is a neoprene sleeve. The Booq is a hard case.

Re: Help with Windows 7 and X41 wireless

This is what I did: 1) Install Win7 as you normally would 2) Connect to the internet via ethernet (just about the only driver Win7 recognized) and run Windows Update (you will then have the drivers for the wireless & audio) 3) Go to the Lenovo site and install any other drivers/software that you nee...

Re: Dual-boot Win7/Snow Leopard?

I just installed the SleepWatcher package and have the same results as before. I tried putting the PC to sleep by shutting the lid and then hitting keys until it wakes up (how do you wake this thing up anyway?). The Thinkpad logo appears as when you power on the laptop. I then get a message that say...

X41 Keyboard Replacement

I just purchased an X41 that has a bad keyboard. Well, at least I think it's a bad keyboard since the Trackpoint moves but you cannot use either the left or right mouse button.

Can I buy any x41 keyboard off of eBay or do I have to find one that has the same FRU?

Touch-up Paint?

My poor x60s is suffering the effects of being carried in my purse everyday - the paint on the corners is wearing away revealing the greyish plastic underneath.

Does anyone know of any type of paint that would work? I tried a Sharpie but it rubs off too easily.

Re: Win7 Enhanced Experience, have you actually experienced it?

Oooh. Good point about the hard drive. I totally forgot that I upgraded the x60s to a 7200rpm and the x200 is definitely a 5400rpm. I think the fact that I'm not loading the entire ThinkVantage suite upon booting has a lot to do with the speed difference. All in all I'm happy that I didn't spend the...
