I own my T40 now for a year, and honestly, I'm quite disappointed and a bit frustrated. This laptop is not what I expected a high class IBM laptop to be. Compared to my old T20, the build quality of the T40 is inferior: it's flimsy, squeaky, and I often have the fear to break it apart just by liftin...

I have the same problem. Since one week or so, my T40's USB ports only seem to speak USB1.1. Neither my external USB2 disk nor my 3G iPod are accepted as USB2 devices (although WinXP tells me that it's actually a USB2 device, and I should plug it into the free USB2 port... harhar).

Very annoying.
