Actually, there's a LV Dothan available now, like K.Eng forecasted. The 1,4GHz Pentium-M 738 is a Dothan core.ThinkPadX40 wrote:IBM is getting more late to upgrade the system

Re: X series buying advice
Can anyone here from the not so distant future tell us if the X31 was ever (will be) updated to take the Dothan CPUs? As far as I know, IBM is phasing out the X31. So, that's a no... For me then, the plusses-list looks like this: X31: standard laptop hard drive, long battery life, firewire, radeon ...

T41 with Pentium-M 738 ???
Hi, there's a shop here in Holland claiming they sell a T41 with Intel Pentium 738 M Processor(low voltage) 1400 MHz, 400 MHz Front Side Bus, 2MB Cache - which would be a very recent Dothan model. The model number they list is TC11FND. I've checked that, and that hasn't even a Dothan, let alone a LV...

Thanks for your reply!

recognizing R5x's having Firewire ~ IEEE1394
Hi, I was hoping someone would know a rule of thumb to say which R5x models have and which don't have an onboard firewire chip? I've found through the IBM site that some are listed with and some without, but I haven't recognized any pattern in it. Do I have to click properties for every model, or ca...
