Re: Intel chipset support for Windows XP - ThinkPad T30????

I usually use the latest applicable ones from Intel's support site. For the D620's ... http://support.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-025753.htm It's probably a GM965 (Intel Graphics) or PM965 (Descrete Nvidia graphics). Either way, it's the same install for the chipset. The current version is 9.0....

[quote="CeNG"]Update: So if they actually get in the mainboard and replace it quickly and ship me back my Thinkpad it will have been almost a month total for repair. Sort of mind boggling to me. Speaking as someone who has his T61 back at the depot for repair for a THIRD time. I have been unable to get a finger on the problem with this Lenovo. I tend to think the problem is a combination of the Vista drivers and the included ThinVantage software that comes on the system. It seems that the m...

I just recieved it back today and on placing it on my dock, it started having problems again. do these problems only happen when docked?   did you send in your dock to make sure that something isn't awry with the dock itself? Nope, it's BSOD off the dock and had similar problems. Like I said I have...

The last straw!

Well the relationship with my T61 had been quite turbulent. Within 30 days of owning it I had to return it for a new unit and the new unit had problems as well. I have had it back to the depot twice now for repair with the first visit taking 4 weeks to return. After complaining about the various iss...

On the Laptop2Go site they actually have a set of drivers (156.56) that include the Lenovo inf file and are WHQL. I am currently using them with Windows XP and they have been behaving themselves.

Even though they aren't as new as the 163.71 drivers, the 156.56 appear stable and are signed.

I purchased my set this morning, and I was warned that even though the web page says there would be no licensing issues, be aware that is always the possibility that they may not work licensing wise.

The person I talked to didn't know anything about the offer, and had to point him to the web page.
