Re your wireless issue, have you turned off its ability to go into sleep under the power management properties for the wireless card?

Have you disabled any of the the USB devices? The fingerprint reader is attached to an internal one.

I think I had something similar.

I added some rubber strips from the bottom of an old keyboard in each corner to fill the gap.

I thought I was all alone in this....

I have improved the gap a little.

Vista by a mile. The improvements in Tablet features is worth any niggles, which I've experienced none so far.
