Booq BP3 System Anyone?
Has anyone heard of or used the Booq BP3 Backback or system ( http://www.booqbags.com/Detail.bok?no=44 )? For $160 I want to hear from someone who has it before I purchase! The other bag that I like is the Spire Fuse ( http://www.spireusa.com/products/FE5.html )! If anyone could comment on either of...

The ultra slim bay battery is actually rated at about 16.2Wh. It's roughly a 2 cell battery yet it costs more than the 9 cell battery (etailer price) So how much life can you get out of the Ultrabay Slim Battery? Sounds like a rip off if it is only two cells but it costs more than the 9 cel...

Well, I just ordered my first Thinkpad. I went with the 2378-FVU and I feel pretty good about my decision. I went ahead and orderd an extra 512MB RAM too. I was going to get the High Capacity 9-Cell battery but I held off for now. I might get it in the future if I decide I need it. Does anyone else ...

I gave a great deal of thought to the extra weight /size that the t series represented over the x series. If you need access to your cd / dvd drive, then once you add the necessary dock, the x series is no lighter. I also came to realize that the width was more important than the footprint when I s...

Coders tend to appreciate large swaths of screen real estate a lot. I could code on a 12" 10x7 display, but that's by going full-screen most of the time (I hate doing that) and cherry-picking my font sizes/display. For something as small and convenient as the X, I'd really consider it :) So what yo...

So would the X40 be good even for writing and compiling code on a regular basis. How about for multi-media? If I wanted to play the occasional game or watch a DVD, can the X40 handle the task? When I say game I don't mean like Doom3, I mean more like a strategy game (something that is not extremely ...

I think you've picked definite winners. Both the X and the T are solid systems, it comes down to three basic things... 1) Is weight a factor? 2) Is screen-size a factor? (one-operation-at-a-time, versus multiple working windows) 3) Heavy CPU usage? (eg, writing papers versus compiling code) But whi...

Build Quality?
rhema83 said: If you don't need the UXGA, go with the 14.1". That extra 1lb is going to feel like an extra 5lb if you carry it around everyday. The larger form factor may also be a problem for travelling. Rhema83: What do you think of your 2378-FVU. Do you find the build quality to be satisfactory? ...

T42 W/15" For Daily Travel
I am considering the 2378DXU with the 15" Flexview screen. Can anyone tell me if this model, or any T42 with a 15" screen, is light enough to carry on a daily basis. I will be commuting back and forth to school by bus and subway so I will be toting this notebook around quite often. I can't decided i...

X40 For Full Time Use?
I am a graduate student and I will be starting school in March. I really like the X40 but I was wondering if it would be too small to use as a full time computer. I was thinking that if I got the docking station for it as well as a monitor then I might be able to make it work. Also, I will be going ...

Booq BP3 System
I too have been looking at Booq Bags for quite a while now but I can not seem to find anyone who has one so that I can get a review. I like the BP3 System a lot and I like all the accesories that come with it, including the PowerSleeve 15. So, if anyone has this system or any other booq bag, what do...

So, csv96, how do you like your 23795VU? I trying to decide between it and the 2378FVU! I am just afraid that the 1024x768 resolution on the 23795VU will not be sharp enough. What do you think overall of your laptop?

From what I have read so far, the ghosting problems associated with the Flexview screens only occur during intense gameplay and the playing of DVD's. Is this accurate?

Ghosting Problems With The T42 Flexview
Ok everyone, another poll. I am considering a T42 with the 15" Flexview screen. I want to know from people who already have a T42 with Flexview, what is the ghosting like on it? I don't expect to do any serious gaming, but I would like to be able to play a DVD every now and then without distortion. ...
