An update on battery life:
I get just under 2 hours on battery (1 h 56 min) with lots of wireless usage, video and music. Screen at full brightness and "Energy Star" power scheme.

i have a feeling that 64bit won't help because the BIOS will still steal anywhere from 512 to 1024 megs for addressing, regardless of OS.   it'll be interesting to see what happens.   i plan on testing this when mine arrives but won't be surprised if vista 64 reports 3, 3.25, or 3.5 gigs available....
