Re: Lenovo CES 2019

Alleged, leaked, new model names and dates : at notebookcheck or at thinkscopes . Dates aside, only thing of note is an X390 to replace the X280 (hooray ! 12.5" is too small, and the bezels were too big - OK, big assumption by me here that this is a 13.3" laptop with a footprint about the same as an...

Re: Lenovo CES 2019

So, not a lot happened at CES. Inremental changes for the 7th generation X1 Carbon as mentioned above (and here's another link about it at anandtech ). The announcement of the refreshed X1 Yoga (again, at anandtech ). There was also an E490s. I suppose the biggest news was the aluminium case on the ...

Re: Lenovo CES 2019

L390 Yoga with very, very slim bezels . Interesting. L390 without such slim bezels . Hmm, oh well. Edit : seems weird, both quote 1920x1080 13.3" displays and the same 322 mm x 224.2 mm x 18.8 mm dimensions so something's wrong ? Actually notebookckeck has a different, and more corresponding L390 Y...

No, there won't be any T26.
It does seem strange to develop the keyboard and never use it again, but I'm not surprised given Lenovo's lack of enthusiasm (even the T25 seemed to get done reluctantly, god knows which individuals managed to get that into production).

Lenovo CES 2019

Strictly speaking it's too early for this thread, as I haven't seen any rumours about the 2019 Thinkpads, but since I made the Lenovo CES 2018 thread I thought I'd get in early and do it anyway. If anyone's seen / heard anything feel free to post. The best I can do is to point out that there is an e...

Thinkpad rumours

Bit of a weird rumour on reddit, a 15" Thinkpad with no numpad, and X-series build style (no idea what that means), that isn't the P1, coming in about two months time. No idea how reliable the rumour is, makes no sense to me though.

Executives? The only thing they will understand is $, so if we really want to get their attention we should buy one :thumbs-UP: Can't do so, not available in the UK. Hmm, pretty boring, the only new-look machine was the X280. No sign of the (presumably somewhat expensively) developed T25 keyboard. Re: Thinkpad 25 vs T410, T430s, Yoga 14 (PICS)

How do you like the keyboard on the T25 ? Close enough to the T410 ? I know the new one is meant to be slightly different, so is it noticeably worse, very similar, slightly different but not necessarily worse or better, or just better ? While we're at it, what do you think about the 'island-style' k...

Re: Time to crowdfund the real ThinkPad: let's see how badly we want it

A 'real' Thinkpad Classic that all can agree on ... • the 'proper' keyboard. • a really good screen. • a chassis that doesn't have acres of space around the screen. I think that's the minimum, and although there'd be grumbling about other features (status lights, aspect ratio etc etc), this is the c...

Weird, theinquirer.net also say
Sadly, Lenovo has confirmed that it won't be available in the UK.
If true, the presence of a GB keyboard on the T25 parts list makes no sense.

Re: Time to crowdfund the real ThinkPad: let's see how badly we want it

My thinking was to actually get Lenovo design a 12 inches 3:2 machine with butterfly keyboard. We can use the same design for ULV quad core and dual core model. David was open to the suggestion, i am sure i can pitch the idea to the ThinkPad management if people are serious about it. A modern day 7...
