*Found* WTB T42 compatible LCD *Found*

I'm looking to buy a T42 compatible LCD. Depending on the quality of the display, and the resolution I'm looking to spend somewhere between 50-100 USD, but everything is negotiable.

PM with any offers and I will get back to you within the day.

Edit: Found an LCD

Thanks,

Brian

I have been hearing a lot of people talk about huge costs of Thinkpads in different parts of the world. I have an X61s running the Hardy 8.04 beta. I plan on reinstalling once the release candidate is out at least. I have been having issues with screen brightness not being adjustable. Anyone finding anything similar? But all in all I am excited for this release, some of the improvements are really nice.

CF Card HDD Replacement

I have been thinking about the idea of replacing the hard drive in my X61s with a compact flash card, in order to reduce heat, save on battery, and better protect my data. I figure a 16 gig CF card would hold an OS (I use Linux but windows would be the same idea) and all the apps I would need, and I...

I love Thinkpad hardware, but I think I need to start getting away from Windows. Then use a different OS on Thinkpad hardware. The first thing I did with my X61s was install Linux (and I'm willing to argue its a more useful machine for it). For people that want this form factor its sounding like a ...

Try using the alternate install CD. On the download page there is a check box that gives you the option of downloading the alternate (non live cd) iso.
