Thanks for the replies. the first problem was that when I removed the fan it must of loosened the CPU from the socket. I removed the fan again and unlocked the CPU and pushed down and relocked. I went through all of the devices I removed and rechecked them. I pushed down on the cpu and re-locked it.
Now the laptop will start up and I can get to the Bios to change the date and time and the laptop shuts off.
I have tried it several times with the same results.
