Re: Help, T61p dead after driver install.

Sorry, I probably should have explained it more clearly. I installed the turbo memory driver thinking that I had turbo memory in my Thinkpad. I don't have turbo memory in my Thinkpad.

Remove it and try booting again.

Help, T61p dead after driver install.

I've been having a string of bad luck with my laptops lately and my T61p is the latest victim. Put a fresh install of Win7 Ultimate on it, loaded all the typical Lenovo drivers and it was running great. I noticed that there was a single device driver with a question mark next to it. Thought it was m...

You can always change the language in a windows 7 ultimate/professional. And I have the documents/guide. Are you Korean? Hah....good guess...I'm sure my username didn't give it away at all. :D Unfortunately, I bring great shame to my family as I can't speak or read Korean....but I am fluent in Span...

Would have gone for it if it were in English. Thanks though.

WTB: Windows Vista Business Recovery CDs for T61 (7663-12U)

I'm upgrading my dad's original 80GB 5400RPM drive to a shiny new 500GB 7200RPM drive. Vista Business 32-bit recovery CDs would be great or an ISO that I can burn myself works too. Please let me know how much you'd like for either option. Thanks!

Re: WTB:T61 hinge, fan, & randomness you have & sell me on

Could also be that the actual hinge is cracked. The right hinge of my T61 looks EXACTLY like yours. I knew before even opening up the bezel that the hinge was cracked because I heard a metallic snap the day the hinge ended up looking like yours. Opened the bezel tonight and sure enough....hinge is c...

Re: Stolen ThinkPad T60

Sorry to hear about that. FYI, type 1871 is definitely a T43, I've owned a couple...something like 1951 is a T60. (It may be possible figure out the model number with just the serial number.) You are correct. I double checked on the Lenovo website with the serial # and the machine type/model is 195...

Stolen ThinkPad T60

Hi all - My sister had her T60 stolen from her car at a gas station in Houston (the Sugarland area to be more specific) this afternoon. She's 95% sure that the machine type/model is 1871-43u. She's 100% about the serial number, which she had written down. I can post that if it's ok to do so. I know ...

[SOLD]: Clearing out laptop parts

I'd rather not have to throw these things out and have them go into a landfill. Perhaps someone can find some use for these (shipping included in the prices): 1) ThinkPad 2nd Hard Drive Adapter for Ultrabay Slim (FRU 62P4553) - This adapter fits the T4x series and takes PATA drives only. $10 SOLD 2)...

Re: Kingston 2gb RAM for Dell laptops - $30 shipped and insured

I'm assuming this a single, 2GB stick of DDR2 PC2-5300 memory? If this is correct, $30 shipped is going to be a difficult sell considering that you can get a brand new stick from Newegg for $21 shipped.

FS:Thinkpad T42p 1.8GHz, 1.5GB RAM, 60GB HD (lower price)

After a couple of weeks of going back and forth about whether I want to sell this or not, I have finally given in--only because I otherwise will not be able to purchase my sister's T60 from her by December. The replacement 5K160 80GB drive can go into your T42p with no probelms whatsoever. If you put the T42p drive into the T43 and get the 2010 error, like SteveS said you can get the HD firmware update utility from the Lenovo website here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyl...

Looking for a keyboard for a 14.1" T42 . All keys should be functioning and the lettering on the keys should be clear (not rubbed off in other words). A little shine on the keys is ok.
