Re: T60 - Will it work with Windows 7? Which versions?
Hey all, As steyoung said, T60's are limited to 3 gigs of ram, it is a physical limitation. In my t60p, I have 4 gigs installed but only 3 are available because of this limitation. I went with the 4 gigs because it enabled the RAM to run in dual channel mode, which is a very slight performance incre...

Re: Power Manager gauge question
I also am annoyed by the new power manager gauge operation! I used to love being able to choose the power plan by using the battery gauge. In addition, I don't care for the the curved line that surrounds the battery gauge area. Since I put my taskbar on the top of my screen, it does not come out rig...

Re: Power Manager 3.05 always crashes ~ T60p 15" Win 7
The new battery gauge 'taskbar button' design (for lack of better description) looks somewhat weird. To be honest, I prefer the older classic battery gauge. I agree with you Marin, I like the old style Battery gauge better! I also noticed that I cannot choose a power plan anymore by left clicking o...

Re: Crashing T60: NMI Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
Just want to add, I have been running windows 7 since the RC was released. I used to get the NMI error 2+ times a week with vista. Since my upgrade to Win 7, it hasn't happened once! (3 months?)

Re: help: t60 dock/undock behaviour problem
I have the exact same setup as you. I am using windows vista. I used presentation director to setup my configuration. I use the 24" as my primary desktop. Once I set it up in Pres Director once and applied that scheme once, it goes to that config every time that I dock lappy. Also to note, I do not ...

Re: What GPU Temps are YOU Seeing on Your T60p?
73 while typing this with firefox open. 107 while playing HL2, or Portal with maxed settings It has been like this since the beginning, I pulled off the keyboard once and cleaned out that area after about 1 year of use. Doing this lowed the temps by 10 degrees. I was worried about it at first, but n...

Re: Drivers or T60p with FireGL 5250? Anyone get it to work?
I actually used the drivers on the t60p software and driver matrix on the lenovo website. The vista driver installed and works just fine without any modification for me. I wonder what the difference is that mine installed ok, but yours did not. http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?...

I am asking the same thing. Here is the weird thing, i was able to change it somewhere about 4 months ago. At that time I changed it to black. After that I wanted to change to to blue or something, but I couldn't find the setting tabs anymore! So I guess I am stuck with black until they update somet...

Are you using Access Connections? This happened to me about 6 months ago, after trying to repair the connection with access connections it said something about "no associations". If that is that case uninstall access connections and reinstall it. If that doesn't fix it, then it couldn't hurt to rein...

IgorG IMHO those temps aren't that high, but that is compared to my t60p. My GPU was getting up to 110 last week when I posted on here. I read the "T60 temperature thread" and they recommended blowing into the exhaust ports in the rear corner to lower temps. I did this and it lowered my temps 25-30 ...

Here are my temps. I took these temps about 10-15 minutes after startup. I know I put a lot of data in this post, but i would rather put too much info than not enough. My temps seem just as high with the battery removed. I think that i am going to call lenovo this week. Here are my AC Idle temps (Ev...

Ok, thank you for the quick reply. I will post temps tomorrow, I have to go out of town for a night. PS. I decided to try speedfan real quick, I noticed that my CPU temps were normal with that software. They read 55* just browsing the web and went to 71* and 70* (shows both core's) under a load. Wie...

Wow, mine is running much hotter all around. My ambient temp is @ 22*. Thank you for posting you temps. I have only had this machine since august 2007. I'm thinking about pulling out the keyboard and maybe blowing out everything with some air. My apartment seems to get dusty. I guess I will call Len...

FireGL v5250 temps
Hello all, I know that there is ALOT of temp threads about GPU temps on T60's, But i haven't found a whole lot on the T60p's with the v5250. Here's my story. I noticed that lappy was getting pretty warm while the visualizer is playing on WMP. The visualizer is one that I downloaded and the Author sa...

Presenation Director Docking problem
Hi everyone I have a T60p running Vista Ultimate, and using an advanced mini dock with an external monitor. I decided to give Presentation Director another try for vista (it was very sketchy when I first upgraded from XP). I know on XP i was able to check "Enable this Scheme when laptop is docked......

I am running a 17 in CRT on my T60p, the monitor is a compaq that came with my last desktop computer. It is hooked up through docking station. I am using the windows software (Vista) for external monitor setup and not using Presentation Director (seems glitchy sometimes). My refresh rate is set to 8...
